I used this product several years ago (the one to repel animals, not insects) but am having a hard time finding it now. Is there no way to get it in Georgia? Any other ideas to protect tomatoes, broccoli, blueberries, etc. from roof rats, chipmunks, squirrels, and possum (I live in middle of large city)? I have tried huge wire cages (kept me out more than rats), high pitched sound machines (displaced frogs and other valuable animals), flash tape (no effect), inflated snakes (no effect), killing traps (can only be used inside blueberry netting that keeps my cat out but not rats; I did kill many rats and baby possum), and poison (can only be used in enclosed areas like basement because of pets and other wildlife). Another summer is on its way, and I feel depressed how how many crops I am losing to these varmints.

Have you tried looking online? Here's one place--I know nothing about them, just they came up when I went to the mfg's website and clicked on "buy online". http://www.lsorchids.com/store/cart.php?target=category&category_id=302&pageID=0
I've seen it in this catalog....

Is that an actual wax that goes on the plant, or is it just called wax? If it's really a wax coating, wouldn't that hurt the plant?
