DAILY PICS VOL 68

I love those guys!

Love to see the cardinals. They even brighten up dreary weather days. My highest count for cardinals so far this weekend was 25 at one time.

How do you get so many cardinals -- I only have one set. My hawk was a Coopers Hawk -- the bird book didn't have a good picture but I got a good one on wikipedia.

Oooo, look what I spotted roosting up in these trees!! There were at first I only saw 2 but then I spotted the third one.

Nanny do you see vultures a lot in your area? Or this a rare occurrence. I've only seen these type of birds in Zoo or bird exhibition. Must be nice to see them in their natural habitats.

The sun was out a tiny bit this morning, and then it turned cloudy again. Some Redpolls waiting for the feeders.

Thanks Pelle, me too, wish they would come back. Don't see them very often.

Hey, about the cardinals...I have never set out to attract them, just put out a mixed seed. I think that I must have a natural habitat for them here. I have only been at this house 9 months.... I do remember that we had a couple groups of babies last year. I wonder if they just stay where they are raised?

Almost a daily occurrence! Thing is I didn't know what they were till I took a pic last weekend that was ID'd for me!! lol

I though we had some kind of monster hawk here! lol

(We do have eagles here also)

This lil' Muscovy mom is nesting under an azalea at the back of our yard. I got as close as I could without her getting upset with me. :)

It's been a bit quiet here lately, a bit too cold but had sun again the last two days.

This female Chaffinch I took 4 days ago, she must know me by now.

I've got several shots from today. First up is a Mockingbird that was singing loudly.
