There are some large bushes of sorts that grow on my Dad's property in deep east Texas. They're not exceptionally thick, but they can block the view from the neighbor's yard. I found what appeared to be smaller versions of this bush growing beneath it, so I took one home with me. I've had it for about a week or so, and it isn't too terribly abused. However, I would like to identify it so that I can provide more appropriate conditions for it. (My Dad didn't have any pots, so I improvised...when it grows larger, I'll re-pot it into something a little more fashionable---the container has four holes on the bottom for drainage.)
Need Help Identifying a Plant
Hmmm it looks like some type of euonymus. Not sure though.
It reminds me of Ilex vomitoria (Yaupon Holly).
Maybe you could post a pic of the "grown up" hedges.
