I'm new to having and maintaining my lawn. I was out trying to pull weeds and I noticed a few of these things.... I dont know what it is but there are quite a few. Can anyone help me figure what this is???
What is this??
I won't call myself an expert, but it looks like crabgrass to me.

It's St. Augustine Grass. It's pretty shallow rooted and easy to get rid of...if that's what you want to do. It spreads by runners.
Crabgrass is much "softer" and has that reddish/purple cast to it, and it reseeds terribly.
Yep, it's St. Augustine Grass, commonly known as 'carpet grass'. Needs lots of water, very high maintenence to keep a full lawn of it. Gene
