Rj. I love that color. Outstanding, I have to find one . It just might be my valentine present. I will go to Tostropicals to see if I can find it . You are full of wonderful surprises.
Tropical garden #4
It's
Eranthemum pulchellum, Eranthemum nervosum
Blue sage, Blue eranthemum
It's always nice to have something that blooms in winter like clerodendrum wallichii..
which is I vainly try to get the woodrose to bloom..mabe next year!
The leaves on the plant your trying to identify are huge..but they remind me of a type of philodendrum I have..at least the shape

in that post number
rj, i've been looking for a tropical-looking evergreen shrub. can this be cut/grown to be shrub like? very pretty! the plant files says that it's a zone 10-11, but someone mentions that they believe it to be hardier than that??
ms. rita, i'll be curious to see what you have as well. that is one cool looking leaf!
Yes, I think it can. I have one that is pretty tall, and now wide...2 years in the making, and the leaves are very attractive all year. They tend to get a little scruffy looking in the winter, unless it's been a warm one like this year.
try this link to tops..see if it works...it has some good photos.
