Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Don, I learned that the Mucinex works great, but don't take it before you go to bed. It was like my nose was raining! LOL But it did work very well!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I use Mucinex too. Heard you won't be able to smell using Zicam....
Poor Don.
Off to bed...till tomorrow. Nite Sweet Ones!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Jaye, that is the perfect time to eat beans then! LOL
Nighty night!

Lots of hot chicken soup TM and anyone suffering ..the hot salty liquid helps clear the infection and have your loved one run Vicks vapour rub on your chest and back. We are flooding ...I give up!

Well gang got to go shovel a path to the truck this morning.I'd use the snow blower, but it would wake the whole neighborhood, sounds like a lawn mower!!!LOL

This morning's news is terrible. Tornados all over the place. I pray that those who are hurt or displaced will have adequate help. Sure hope the DG family escaped the wrath of nature. Waaay early in the year for this kind of weather.

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering with the flu, hope you all get better soon, being sick is so miserable.
6 am here and I haven't heard the news yet so I don't know where the tornadoes Christi mentioned have touched down, but I hope you are all safe and sound.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

47 fatalities, hundreds injured. Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky. Western Tn. was the worst hit.
So far most DGers from that area have reported being safe.
Christi, they had severe tornadoes in 1971, around this time of the year.

My thoughts exactly, Tammy! A royal pain ------!!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Dad gum it! That is twice my post has vanished!!!!
Anyway, I am not sure of the total damage in Missouri, but will here it on the Noon news I am sure. All is safe in our neck of the woods anyway.

The news is terrible ...golly I hope everyone is ok ...we are due for an eclipse this afternoon, perhaps things may settle down a little after that.
Stay safe everyone ...batten down the hatches!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Chrissy, be carefull, I heard that when there is an eclipse brugs disapear.

I wonder if I can get down there and get hers before she realizes they are gone. lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Right behind you Robyn, "Beam me up, Scotty"!!
How wonderful if we could teleport oneself!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

We didn't get tornadoes up here. We got torrential rains yesterday and that froze overnight and made for some icy roads this morning. I made it to work ok though there were several pile-ups in the city that closed some major highways down.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pepper, hope it's easier for you tomorrow. We got the rains this evening but for a few minutes, unlike what the weather channel said. Weather at present is in the 70's.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

The roads were clear this afternoon. The sun came out and melted everything so the alsphalt roads are clear. Now it's dealing with the non-existing gravel roads. lol

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

"beam me up"....no biggy....it's just a matter of "reassembling the molecules"....of course I have a lot of molecules to "re-assemble" so it might take a little longer......LOL!!!!! I move so S L O W, that they probably wouldn't all catch up at the same time.......Guess that could be a problem! Maybe I shouldn't try that right away....besides, Randy gave me quite a few brugs, so I'll let y'all do the "beaming up!" LOL!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Knock on wood...Spring is springing here for sure with Carolina jasmine, Bauhinia and Pink Magnolias in bloom, with wisteria not far behind in my neighborhood. We had a wonderful 4 day vacation from cold weather with 80F and a lovely balmy 66F low temp.. I spent as much of it in the garden as I could.
Cold front blew in with a blustery wind and some loud cracks of hail dropping the temps quickly last night. Temps recovering into the 70's and 50's for the next ten days. Now if we can avoid last years departing winters temper tantrum, we'll be in good shape

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Yep!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Right now it's 25* out. If you want to swap I would love to trade temps for a day or 2. Good excuse to sleep outside. LOL

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Sorry, but "No thank you!" I'll keep what we have!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Rj?????

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Huh? sorry but I'm out pruning...lol

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. Okaaaaaay. I guess I can live with this for another month.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

But you know they could share, they don't have to switch with us, I would be so happy to get rid of it for quite a few months.

Pretty please, could we have some of your warm air.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey, beam me up with you all! LOL

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Maybe if we bug them enough they will come up here for a week and us down there for a week. LOL

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Do you wish upon a star nightly?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Yup. lol

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Keep wishing........! LOL! That's why I came South to start with was to escape the cold! If I leave or swap it would be go to a warmer Tropical place.......LOL!!!!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I understand that, wiosh we would move farther south.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes, and to listen to us going on about such a long winter ...whine whine...

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

That's what happens after you've been here for 31 years and you are acclimated to the warm weather!!!!!!! A N Y weather below 50 deg. gets chilly....40 less tolerable, and in the 30's downright cold! Plus the fact that we have the high humidity which adds the "dampness" and it cuts right thru you!!

Once I was in PA for a weekend with an old friend, snow on the ground, and we were bundled up, and boots, but it didn't seem cold, because the air was so dry.
