I snapped these pictures from my backyard, you can barely see Mt. Baldy all covered in snow. It's not often we see the mountains here with snow this low. You can see the threatening clouds coming over them too.
The rains brought alot of snow
Well, they aren't as good as I thought but the sky sure is blue!!!
Great photo's weegy. The last one is amazing. Palm trees with a backdrop of snowy mountains. I love it.
Thank you, I had to look at that picture again, you're right, the palm trees seem a little out of place there don't they?!?!?!
Hello weegy12,
Wow! That's nice to see the Mt. Badly!
I remeber I drove by on Foothill Blvd near Wal-Mart in RC... It will be nice to see...I miss this mountain...:)
Hi!! Everybody!! The rains and snow just keep on coming. I guess it is good for the blueberries. I am just worried about the people who were affected by the fires and now, this!
Sherry, How is your area doing in this storm? Weegy12, was your area hit by the fires last fall?
Thanks,
Chuck
Louise, what a beautiful view from your home. I can just see you sitting on you back patio looking at that view. Did you get a LOT of rain? We have been lucky here. It has rained, but not a lot. We awoke to blue sky this morning, but it is starting to get cloudy again. I don't mind this rain at all, my garden is loving it. :-)
Donna
Great shot of the mountains framed by the Palms, Louise! Who said blondes can't take good pictures? (See how much better they come out when you take the lens cap off ? !!! )
Beautiful here also.....our road looks out on Palomar Mountain .....snow, snow, snow. if we head over to Temecula we see the full range of snow topped mountains from there. We don't really get affected by too much rain, no flood problems, etc. So far today doesn't seem to be living up to the forecast hype, no tornado, no high winds. Hopefully it will stay this way...I really don't want hail. Tends to be very hard on plants and skylights! And actually glad that it's supposed to be rainy since I have set aside a lot of indoors projects for the day and since it's my neighbors day for making dinner for us, I don't even have to cook......
No Chuck, we weren't affected by the fires last year. The sky was a little dark but they were far enough away from us and where we are is pretty conjested with homes and businesses so we're tucked safely here amongst all that.
Mike, you're right, pictures do come out better without the lens cover. (you so funny!)
Donna, we've gotten our fair share of rain, looks like it rained alot over night but today, like you, blue skies and a little wind but more rain is supposed to be on the way. Grrrrrrr!
Rusty, it is beautiful here right now, Baldy is just beaming with snow and it's pretty low. (hey, I'm a poet!)
Thanks for looking at my photos, I just thought it was too pretty not to share. Sitting outside this morning drinking coffee and admiring the skies and the yard. Spring is almost here, yipppeeeee!
DH and I just came in from the veranda, where we enjoyed lounging with a cup of coffee, looking at the mountains (couldn't see much for the clouds, though). A flock of water birds flew by and I had to move out of the sun, as it was tooooo hot! Ah, what a great way to start the day. It's beautiful outside and the manzanitas are blooming like crazy.
OK, now on to chores.
Ooops, meant to say great pics, Louise! That last one is soooo California.

Thanks Kathleen. Sounds like you're starting your day off as enjoyable as us. A hummingbird was hovering over dh's head and was the topper to the morning!
Called my mom in OR shortly after I posted and she was watching a heavy snowfall - unusual in Eugene - that was building up quite a bit on the ground. She sounded like a little kid! :-) Boy, have we had some downpours here this evening!
It's been raining here since 7:00 p.m. last night and hasn't stopped. Enough already !
Hahaha....that's EXACTLY what I was going to post! Took the words right outta my mouth!
The streets around here are flooded...as is my garden at the moment.
BTW Sherry...your Chasmanthe bulbs are blooming...the ones I got from you at the RU...(I thought they were Crocosmia's) No worries, I still like them !
Agree - enough is enough for now. It's been coming down hard, too - and lots of wind. That worries me because we have some big old trees at the bottom of our lot - eucs and pine - that have broken before.
Mike, I didn't bring those chasmanthes.....lovesopera (my neighbor, Gail) did. They're naturalized around here and not thrilling, but the hummers still love them.
I could have sworn they were yours! Yes, you're right...the hummers DO love them.
When they sprouted, at first I thought they were glads...
Now I'm trying to figure out where the Crocosmias are ! I think the paper in the bag said they were "Lucifer"...so they must be out there somewhere and just haven't come up yet.
(I have a tendency to forget where bulbs are when the foliage is gone.)
Mike, the watsonia's are about a foot high now. They've multiplied like crazy. We sure enjoy the blooms.
Still raining here, supposed to subside a bit but showers on and off for the next few days. Did you hear on the news that we have received more rain this month than Seattle??!?!!? That's sad.
I heard on the news So. Calif. has gotten more rain this month than all of last year!
We had heavy showers over night and this morning, now it's bright and sunny, beautiful to watch the steam rise from the wet foliage outside as the sun warms them.
Still cloudy and sprinkling here. Good, I got out of going grocery shopping!
We have had so much rain and only one small leak on the patio.
Weegy beautiful pictures. Can some one post a picture of Chasmanthe and watsonia's
I am not familiar with either of these. Thank you all for the rain but please tell it to stop now!!
I hear that, this rain and dreary weather needs to go.
I didn't take pictures of the watsonia's but when they bloom, I'll do that. Are there none in the plant files?
Yes, here's the link for watsonia.

You GO weege...with your hyperlinkin' self !!!
;-)
Thanks weegy I do not know I di dnot think of that. Off to look up that other one.
Can this one be bought at the nurseries there? (yes I am up to something)
I can share with you. I only have the watsonia. Mike, do you remember what color you gave me? Blonde here! And let me know when the best time is to dig and share.
Blonde leading blonde maybe we should tell some one where we are going before we try to go any where together!!
Yes we should! We're in big trouble.
It's kinda too late to dig watsonias now...they're already sprouting...if you do it now, they probably won't bloom.
I think the ones I gave you Louise, were either salmon, or orange, or white.
They were salmon, that's right. I'll share when it's time to dig Marie. Thanks Miguel!
Hey ! I just checked the calendar, and Daylight Savings time starts March 9th.
That's only 40 days from now...less than 6 weeks.
Yea for daylight savings time! I love the longer days.
Ok thanks Weegy!!
You are very welcome my friend.
