Are flowers OK, or are you looking only for foliage that's bluish?

She only wants folage plants.

Many hostas have blue leaves that come in various sizes and shapes. You can check out the hosta forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/hostas/all/. I'm sure the people there can give you suggestions on specific cultivars. Or you can go to Direct Source Hostas website http://www.directsourcehostas.com/ You are able to search their hostas by color. Some are all blue, others are blue with white or blue with yellow.

Is this a winter wedding. Colorado blue spruce would look nice as a seasonal accent.

There must be more plants out there than the two I mentioned. I just can't think of any others right now.

There are a few Philodendrons that have a 'bluish' cast to the leaves - they most often have 'silver' in the names, though I can't think of their names offhand! lol!

Maybe someone else will come up with some in the meantime.

I bought a Dusty ? foliage plant to fill in around my blue salvia . It picked up the blue accent since it is a light blueish grey/white. Unusual leaf shape. It was several summers ago, so I am sorry to be so vague. I am sure someone here can fill in the name.

Okay. I googled it. Dusty Miller.
The pictured plant doesn't look as grey/white as the plants I had, But they did pick up/accent the blue.

Good thinking whozzat08!! That one didn't even cross my mind as I was thinking 'houseplants'!
That plant is really common (around here anyway) in nursery flats (and therefore relatively inexpensive) in the spring, so I'd bet it would also be easy for hort_enthusias to find in IA, too!

I have a Rosemary bush, that if I remember correctly had a grayish/white tone to the leaves for a while. Besides the aroma, that color would accent the blue.

Isn't there a white/gray cabbage? type landscaping plant? Also a grayish white landscaping grass?
(I saw it at the hospital's landscaping where my Mom is at just yesterday)

All I can think of are plants that would accent the blue... sorry not the Blue plants
themselves.

Well, that is not Quite right...

The first thing I thought of was the Blue Rose, Then I thought of the Blue/purple Giant Elephant Ears.... not quite a plant suitable for a wedding table?

I had never thought of hostas but like that idea, I guess I was stuck on just house plants and I talked to my sister and showed her some of the different hostas out there and she liked the idea too. Her wedding is not until the end of may so I have a little time. I also told her that she could plant them at her house after the wedding. She still wants a variety of plants and some tall ones to put in front. I looked at some of your other suggestions but I don't think they will work except the philodendrons, I like that idea if I can find some that will go with blue. thanks
