This one is very dry and paperlike to the touch, even though the soil feels moist-- I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or not. This was included in a grouping that I posted about below.
Does anybody know what kind of plant it is?

Here is one more plant that I need identified...
It looks like it might be a parlor palm Chamaedorea elegans http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1479/ Its leaves shouldn't feel papery like you're describing, that tells me there's something wrong. It could be the angle that you took the picture from, but it looks like the pot might be a little small for it. If it's gotten too big for the pot and the roots are all circling around the pot, that makes it nearly impossible for the plant to get enough water, that could explain why the leaves are drying out.
Yes, I'd say parlor palm as well.

I've already repotted it into a larger pot (and wow! Just having it in a bigger pot made it look so much bigger and better!).
