CLOSED: Second Chance Wishlist #6 !!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL, Starlight! I got the confirmation number, but you didn't have to send it priority! There is a still a week left. I appreciate the lists of seeds, so much! So very much! The typing is still a hardship for me, but I can print stuff off with the best of them. LOL!

Frau Snow, I got your enormous box today-- what a hoot! Thank you.

For htose of you wondering, the seeds from Tuinkabouter from The Netherlands came in just fine.

Here's a new thing:

I have a number of packs available of this item, but I want you to read about it before asking for it. I grow it here, and I love it, and it makes a great cut flower, although the stems are so thin, it is just put in last as an accent. This grows and part shade, shade as well as full hot burning sun.

Butter and Eggs, Common Toadflax
Linaria vulgaris

****Note: I will not send this out to anybody unless requested, so if you want it, post here.*****

Illoquin, you sowed those yourself? I tried once but they didn't want to germinate. Strange, as the plant is a native over here. But then that was the only year that none of my snapdragon seeds wanted to cooperate....

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

oh my that is wonderful i want some..........lol

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

More offerings from the WZ seeds, these are all great little Cottage flowers:

Campanula persicifolia - Peachleaf Bellflower in lavender, purple, blue, pink and white mix. Reseeding biennial.

Lychnis viscaria German Catchfly

I also have these (below) yet to pack, so if you want them. post here and also put them on your "reminders for Suzy list".

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Pensacola, You got 'em....you read about the invasiveness, right? :)

Tuink, no I have never grown them from seed. I got them when a lady offered me some ferns. They were part of what I dug up, so I planted them. It wasn't until this past summer that I figured out what they were because I assumed they were some sort of Euphorbia (you singe the stems when using as a cut flower because they leak white stuff like the Euphorbias.)

I will edit the post above, but the Linaria (Toadflax) seeds are from WZ.

Suzy

wow cool thanks so much I will take all that is offered as far as flowers herbs and whatever....I am a transplant here and I left so much behind which I think is terrible but some things I did bring with me which i sent you some already and if you need more let me know.

Suzy - I would love some of the bush ladybells (I grow the adenphora confusa lilac ladybells, but these look much prettier), and if there is enough pink foxglove that would be great too. KD

Scottsburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Hi Suzy, I would love to have the campanula and the Lady Bells.

Nelson, NH(Zone 5a)

Hey Suzy- I would love the lunaria butter and eggs, campanula mix, and the pink columbine. Please let me know if at any point I need to start resisting the temptations you throw in my face : )

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kath/Flowerhead410, You're scaring me -- This is a 1 for 1 swap, so you'll need to be careful on those, but the WZ stuff is "free", no actual swap needed. Since I have no idea how many packs you requested tagged for you, and only a vague idea of what you're sending, I can't actually be sure if you're running into trouble or not..

BUT, if you want the WZ stuff, you can basically have all you want AS LONG AS YOU SOW IT THIS YEAR, AND DON'T TRADE IT AWAY OR SAVE IT UNTIL NEXT YEAR TO TRADE. (And this isn't just information for Flowerhead, it's for everybody.)

Suzy

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

not to sound like an oinker but i would love some wz pink foxglove...

Nelson, NH(Zone 5a)

OK, well than I guess I'm fine. I'm sending lots, but because I was late in deciding to join I think most of what I'm getting is WZ goods.
Does anyone have Indian pinks?

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Now ya ask. : ) LOL After I sent my box in. I do. Send me your addy in a dmail and will get some out to ya.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

I had some toadflax spring up in my new cottage garden by itself last summer. I know it can get to be a problem, but it's so pretty I let it stay. Never occurred to me to save seeds. by the end of the summer there were about 10 where the original one was LOL. I'm going to keep an eye on it so it doesn't take over.

hi suzy

Oh goody. Suzy, if they're not spoken for, I'd love the primula veris and desdemona ligularia. Package was sent off today, and has many poppies (but other things, too)

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Well I need some of these please Suzy, and that is it for this swap! lol I am asking for no more seeds X can you see me crossing my fingers behind by back? he he he

Spurred Columbine McKana Columbine - Tall Maroon/ Yellow Spurred. ~ these sound pretty lol

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi
Suzy, if you still have any of Weez's Spurred Columbine
McKana Columbine - Tall Maroon; I would love to try it :)

...somebody had the rose campion white on their wish list but I can't remember who...

for those contemplating Weez's Campanula takesimiana korean bells, I have them too or something very similar and just love them. They look so close to Spotted Bellflower, campanula punctata? They are really lovely, spread nicely, have a long blooming period and the hummers love them too!

Thumbnail by wind
Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Yeah, I messed up, I have *both8 the dark cherry pink 'Elizabeth' seed and also the regular Korean available, but only listed the "Elizabeth'

Hummer, the hummers love them, LeBug, can I tempt you?

Well Suzy, I've been tempted again lol Can I please, please have some of those:

dark cherry pink 'Elizabeth' seed and also the regular Korean available

Okay I got all the requests, and I'm caught up. Keep posting here if you want anything I've offered, but just so you know, I am continuing the thread in a different forum, the RR forum.

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/806890/

I'll post more offerings tomorrow on thenew thread, so you can go ahead and putit on watch status if you want. I have to wait at home for the cable guy, so will try to get a whole lot more listed tomorrow.

Suzy

's-Gravenhage, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

Goodmorning all!

Suzy, Can I have both varieties of Campanula takesimiana (Korean bells)? There are two, are there?

and if you want to get rid of the veggies, I wouldn't mind being of service......

Thanks!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Sure, on the Korean Bellflowers & yes there are 2.

I'm waiting to hear from Starlight on the veggies for her project, and anybody who might want a pack or two of something or other, but if there are any leftover, sure, I'll send them to you.

Don't forget, on the veggies, we are talking some serious weight. I wonder if it really would be a good deal for you in terms of postage? They will not fit in an International flat rate box, at least not with all the flower seed you're getting.

I estimate the vegetable seeds would cost you between $12.00-16.00 USD in postage, but I won't know until tomorrow or Friday.

Suzy

's-Gravenhage, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

Hi Illoquin,

Again, I realy love your crazy hours!

Let's leave the veggies out. There seem to be others who can use them better and I don't really need them. It was just my inner piggy getting on the loose......

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

My hours aren't crazy, I just live in either Alaska or Hawaii -- take your pick.

I'll talk veggies to you when it gets closer to mailing time and you can decide if the postage is worth it for what you're getting. How's that?

Suzy

's-Gravenhage, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

Great! Thanks!

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Morning. Gotta head to school here in just a minute.

I'll take the spinach beans and peas from frausNow if she hasn't already sent some for my envie.

Sorry, Suzy, thought I sent you back an answer on one f the dmails about the veggies for the project. I must be confused cuz I thought they was ones, from Weez, of lettuces and few carrots and such.

Whenya find out basically how much postage is. Let me know, cuz I gonan have to send you a bigger envie and alot more postage. I forgot all about the veggie seeds. Once ya get them all packed. Give me a holler, if everythign wil fit in a flat rate priority box, I will send ya the postage for it and confirmation on it. That way I know it gettign here. Other wise my mail delivery questionable sometimes.

Ok gotta run, back this evening!

Have fun piggies.

This little piggy went to market.. This little piggy stayed home.. This little piggy had roastbeef... Have fun withyourselves ya oinkers you! : ) LOL

Nelson, NH(Zone 5a)

Primula veris Cowslip primrose
Thanks much!-Kath

Scottsburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Hi Suzy :) Could I have the two radish and the carrots please?
(snork, snork - I'd oink but my sinuses are giving me fits this morning.)

Yup and now I am out of easter egg radishes.

Suzy

P.S. Yes to everybody else, too. I am working feverishly and don't have time to type in every name and all...

(Zone 7a)

Suzy - After everyone has had the opportunity to have some Primula veris seed, if there are any left, I would love some. You can never tell which seeds a seed exchange will send you in advance, but in any case there will be oodles of different kinds coming to me from the American Primrose Society seed exchange, so put me last on this one.

May I have some of Frausnow's peas if they are the edible pod kind like snap peas? If not, I'll pass on that one.

Wind - could it have been Weez who wanted fresh seed of white rose campion (Lychnis coronaria v alba)???

One of the most hilarious and useful threads on DG has been Weez's seed snatcher's thread - well worth locating.

ps Suzy - my answer to your dmail needs more relevancy to yours - but must wait until after I get the rest of the seeds I've promised cleaned, packed & mailed. Are we going to have some kibitzing in the seed germination department after this, or what?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

FrauSnow -- are the peas the edible pod kind? (Blue, they just say Peas)

Okay on the Primula veris, and yes, it was WZ, but it is also her magenta and white mix, so don't ask me!

Suzy

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

OK-I go away for a few days and miss everything!!!

Dryad-I noticed that you didn't have me down for the heirloom poppy, but it was on my WZ wishlist from the beginning, so I hope some found it's way into my can....

I will take any poppy that is brightly colored, I prefer perennials, but like the annuals too. THe ONLY ones I don't like are the ones that look like that red paper one you get from the American Legion I think....

Suzy & DryadI don't know who listed these of WZ's, but, if there are any left I would love:
Road House Dwarf Columbine
Nemesia
Mimulus-I love those darn flowers!!
Linaria-fairy lights
Campanula coehlearifolia (spelling??)-the 5" one

Bluespiralif there are any Papver Rhoeas left I'd love a couple seeds-just enought for 1 viable flower!!:)

I am still in the process of getting my package taken care of-with us being out of town last weekend and the 163 packets I'm sending (I think I only have about 50-60 coming back to me not including WZ seeds, so don't freak out Suzy-I'm not @ my limit yet!!LOL), I am a little behind...I will have them there by the deadline!!
