Ok guys here are the pics of the area that I'm helping turn into an oasis for our clients. Any suggestions appreciated.

My suggestions would be some easy plants. Lambs ear, for texture, lemon balm and some mints for their scents. These would spread more than you may want if they aren't contained. I'm not familiar with your zone. But do suffer from zone envy, i bet there are a lot of fun things that would do well in your zone. Good Luck!
