Wow you really get some beautiful birds!
I haven't seen an Oriole yet!
Daily Pics. Vol. #51
LOL, that IS different!! :-)
Thanks pelletory. I love it here. There's so many birds and wildlife and I just love watching it all.
Here is a picture of a normal RBG with the orange one so you can see the difference. The brown ones are female Purple Finches.

Sounds like a wonderful place CW!
How long have you been bird watching?
Well, for quite awhile, but about a year ago I got a really nice camera and have been able to get much better pictures than I used to. Plus, about 3 years ago I moved to the country(Ozarks) and so we get more than the usual city birds here.
Thats great. Do you mind saying what camera your using?
It does a very nice job!
Welcome, creekwalker, lovely pics!
Pelle, I have an Olympus SP550UZ and it has been great!
Thanks kaperc
Yes, I have one of those fancy style bird feeders. Garbage can lid style. lol The birds love it. ;-)
What a striking bird!
I read the sexes look alike so I guess I can't call it a he. :-)
Along as it works and you can't beat that price! :-)
5 miles from Eagles??
You ARE in a great area!
Gotta hit the sack early; have a good night all. Great pics!
Good night Pelle and thanks! :-)
Yes, it's about 5 miles. It is a wonderful place to live. There is a creek that we walk to hunt for Indian artifacts and it's on that creek where their nest is. The nest is HUGE. They'll fly over us sometimes. I wish they would fly by our house too, but I never see them here.
creekwalker-- Love the pictures of the red headed wood pecker. What a gorgeous bird.
Great pictures everyone.
The weather was just too nice to stay inside today; so I grabbed my camera and went out searching for birdies.
Yesterday, I found a little burrowing owl; so I decided to look for it again. Here is is sitting on it's burrow, which goes under the sidewalk. The lighting was a little better today; so I got a good shot of it's bright yellow eyes.
