I wish this would have turned out better. A tufted titmouse (that I wish shows more of his face) and a carolina chickadee...

Sweet Thrush wallaby! Kinda reminds me of our Robins.. Their spring babies look a bit like the spotted thrush... adorable! Love the GT and the WP too!

Indiana, Glad you were able to make it over to the smorgasbord at WBU!
Those Tufted Titmouse and Chickadee are so quick; aren't they? The Chickadees are always a challenge for me.

Neat Mallards Pelle!
Thanks indiana_lily, your post was late to appear to me. Keep on taking pics, you're doing well!
How did you get a herd of Mallards to stay together pelle, lol, all but one look like male mallards, one of those in the last pic looks a different colour on the head. The pale one I would label as a mutt.

Sometimes I go by WM and get some inexpensive food (small animal) mix. I pour out lines of it. (If it is piled they hit each other getting to it.) This gathers a huge crowd of ducks. and they are a little more cooperative.
LOL,a herd?
The DH blocked them from crossing the path by just standing there.
LOL, I thought of food when we were starting to approach them. :-)
Next time!
Well they do look like they have been herded, and they had!
Your right!!
Bet that was a lot of fun Pelle!
Hi everyone! Third time posting this. lol! I've been trying to find the current thread. Anyway, I love taking bird pics and have a LOT of them. Is it allowed to post pictures from the past year? ;-) Here is a Red Headed Woodpecker that I finally got. Usually they are really shy and won't come near but this one was a brave one. He actually joined the other birds at the feeder. Nice to meet you all!
WELCOME Creekwalker!!!
Beautiful Pic!
Thanks :-)
You are welcome to post pics from any month or year!
How cool that he actually came to the feeder!!
I would go crazy taking pics of a beauty like him!
That is a good pic of the RHW, they seem to be making a comeback. I thought I heard years ago that their numbers were low from getting hit by cars.
Heres what it says at the Cornell site.
Conservation Status
Breeding Bird Survey data show the species is declining over much of its breeding range. An edge species, it declines where forests mature. It is increasing in areas where beavers are increasing and creating more flooded beaver meadows with dead snags
