Has anyone ever ordered climbing hydrangeas from this company? I've been wanting to get this vine for the longest time and they're hard to root from cuttings, so I'm down to ordering them for $5.00 each, small starts. I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten these from Bluestone and how they're doing now?

I used to order from them, and they are a good company from what I remember. The thing is I have had climbing hydrangeas for years and they do not want to bloom for me. Would you like a much more mature plant for postage or trade? I have traded them before and they seem to have survived fine in the transfer.
Climbing hydrangea is a beautiful plant....but slow to establish...I would think the larger plant would be a great idea....you may have to wait way to long for the small start to get going. Marcia, my experience is that it may be three or four years before they really take hold and put out a lot of new growth and bloom...maybe you just haven't had them in place quite long enough. I know of a garden along the Willamette river that has a 15 year old plant growing 45 feet up through a giant fir....breathtakingly beautiful in bloom.
