Looks like it is time for our first 2008 Morning Glory Thread.
Here are a couple of photos from vines I still had blooming in 2008.
Photos taken when the weather turned warm enough to drag the pots outside for a few days.

Thank you Joanne,
I'm already thinking about what to plant first this spring - and bet I'm not the only one doing that.
Emma
I know I'm already going to have to narrow my list down . . .
I was going to wait until spring, but there are some varieties I have a fair amount of seeds for, (thanks to lovely MG forum folks!!) so I think I will give a few a go!
Great bloom and photo Beth. . .
Emma
I had other blooms today, but not any good photos except this one. Don't know what it is, but it was a seed that fell from one of my vines in the retangular planters that are now empty (all the MGs died a month or so ago). Now there are some new seedlings sprouting in this container. This is growing in the area where I had the Plum Shadows vine, though it doesn't quite look like PS. Maybe a cross or something else entirely. Obviously it's lacking fertilizer because the blooms and leaves are very small. I need to dig it up today and tranplant into another pot with fresh soil and some fertilizer. Gotta feed my hummers ya know! LOL!
That's a nice on Becky!!
Nice bloom Becky. May or may not be a Blue Star of India seedling. Looks
very similiar to the other pattern that comes out of the Blue Star seeds.
Hi there guys,
Just gorgeous Becky..!!
Making this short cuz we have alot of outdoor work to be done and the weather is nice right now, so going back out before it gets cold again.
A.
A, hope we get to see pix of what you've been doing outside?
Joanne Ü
Hi Joanne, lots of flagstone work that has been a work in progress for several months... I'm glad it's over..lol. I did not do the work, but it feels like we had company for months (almost all year).. Will post photos soon, most likely I'll post them on Landscaping.com on the link down at the bottom of the page, so I don't double post the same photos..
Oh, my! I didn't think I would be the first to "tag" morning glories!
I read that Tag Thread, but have not tried it yet. It's time I suppose..
Here is another SOH "NOT" from seeds I received from Japan. Pretty but disappointed once again!!! This flower is growing inside under lights started in November. It is a tiny flower and the plant itself isn't real big yet so I was surprised I got a flower this soon. There is another bud I will post when that one opens. SOH or not it helps keep the winter blues at bay!!!
Ronnie - pretty SOH not. I understand your disappointment. I sent all the seeds I collected from my SOH nots last year to Frank for his experiment . . . (wonder how that turned out, if he even started yet?). I'll have to ask him.
In the meantime, I don't have any blooms, but here are the seedlings of the Aomurasakizyouhantensibori I winter sowed this year . . . they look a bit droopy right now because of the rain . . .
Oh Nichole they look good!!! Outside to boot!! It is 21outside my house right now!! BRRRR
Good job Nichole! You must be really excited with your winter sowing success, eh? Is this the first time you tried it?
Joanne
