Hey I had an idea. My house for this party, Heck I'm at the lake (vacation spot) I work at a Bar and Grill (food and drinks) my friend has the biggest greenhouse business in a 60 mile area. Plus I have nine acres we can play on and a 27 foot pool in the back yard

When? gimme directions:) I'll be there! LOL Seriously--would LOVE a get together with all y'all. I am not that far from MO--as the crow flies 5 miles. Drive to branson daily for another week or so to work. Will be 50 miles away when I move. Would even consider doing it at our cabin when we get settled--but it is in the middle of nowhere--and you'd have to camp.

Cat you're about 2 hours away and Tammy is about 1 hour away. When Tommie moves she'll be about 2 and half away. It could work. We could have our own roundup. Then we could go looking at other gardens in the area. I have a horse for each of us to ride. hahahaha

Sure you will love it. I spend a couple of hours there every time I go. She even has a water garden that is a big WOW! I would love to have one like it.

Being as you aren't really that far...Every year the Little Rock Master Gardeners have a flower and plant show either the last weekend in Feb or first weekend in Mar. I have made 10 of the last 12. well worth doing if you can. Awesome displays and VENDORS.I actually take a little wheeled old-lady cart to haul my bounty. Really helps kick the winter doldrums. I can get the exact dates if you're interested (already have my room reserved;) On another note--I would LOVE to come visit Robin--jlmk! Would love to visit with you great folks & visit the greenhouse you mentioned! I am always up for a plant oriented road trip! I even drive to mississippi at least every other year to visit a great nursery I know of there-and have recently discovered several more in the area-so gonna do 3 days this year instead of 2! Also try to get to Marshall TX for the great pottery.... If there are plants/plant people I will travel!

Hi everyone. I think that sounds like a great idea Robyn. Seriously. When are you thinking? Springtime, after threats of bad weather are behind us? Maybe May or so, so we could all bring our extra starts and cuttings to swap!

Springtime sounds wonderful to me! I love it because it is close enough for me to make it with my crappy vehicle! LOL
And I have one of those little carts to haul stuff around in, too! :)

I know we will all be super busy during springtime. Planting, etc. I am planning on trying to wintersow a few things though, and will have extras. And Peggy in Mt Vernon will have extras too I'm sure. Maybe she could come.

Wow, this is starting to look great. Do we want weekend or weekdays. May is great because of the weather. May 345 is totally out for me, I finally get one of my kids married off on the 5th. Cinco de mayo wedding. Her dress is white andhas Red roses in the lace. It is gorgeous.

Anyway. What ever we decide I will have no problem getting off work I don't think. Or they can do without me for 4 or 5 hours. I can call Christie and make sure she is open and has a full house of plants. Most of hers are bedding annuals and perennials. She might have a few tropicals and water plants.

Well that just sounds like a lot of fun to me! Since you are so close, I will go along with what others are able to do! :) You provide the place, and maybe do a pot luck and have tons of good food and friends! Oh yes, can't forget the plants!!! LOL

Either would work for me as long as I have enough advance warning, but weekend might be best for some people. If you are really serious, maybe you could start a thread and see just how many would be interested. (or would you rather have just a few?) The spring RU is sometime in the spring isn't it? I want to go to that this year too.

I think I want to just start out with a few. Just so we see how it goes and if it would turn into some thing bigger for our area.
