Pretty cute. Nice day today. Did you have the day off or did you have to work?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Had the day off and loved every minute of it, it was just gorgeous today, started a new tread, need help.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Ahhh a great day in the garden. Lots of sun and warm 42F.Pruned and thinned canopy to let my new kids start taking off. Got my canoe deck covered and ready for the white water. I have all kinds of flowering bushes brought in to flower for my DW while I am in Alaska. Picked up my side boards and will install them tomorrow on the canoe. I'm excited soon to have it finished. All I have to do is make some temporary sails out of tyveck fabric and see what shape works the best. Spring is here. Boy oh boy. Soon to start trecking the North Saskatchwan R. I will start getting into shape in Juneau kayaking in the inside passage next week. Got all of my survival stuff to get ready for a spill in the water and see how long I last before I get too hypothermic. Lots to learn and see for the next adventure.

Oh yeah, soferdig, don't go and get 'too hypothermic' on us! I believe a synonym for 'too hypothermic' is DEAD! Bad. Very bad.

Too cute, Tills! What a glorious day!

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I always practice in front of others and tell them what I am up to. Hypothermia varies quite a bit based on water temps and submersion suit.

Nice to know you are safety conscious! Somehow, I already knew that considering you are still around.

Looks like Tills is into the dirt - definately feeling very good!!! Or is that just having a day off from work?! Love the new garden residents - and the namesake! Always been disappointed that none of my patients have named their first borns after me! Hmmm, I wonder if I should analyze that? Never mind, that is the best bit of gardening, NO ANALYSIS REQUIRED, just a lot of lifting grunting and digging - with nice amount of soreness to let you know it was a good day - that and all the plants we can place! The hellebores are looking very good Tilly - how are the seedlings doing, anymore raising their heads yet?

Sofer - careful - what would I do without the jousting matches? Shall I send some minions up to keep the towels warm for you? Oh, so sorry, can't. I abdicated.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

No minions but a good Cognac would do. I'll send you the address. I always go into adventure to escape the Minions. You always have the world to yourself bathing in the frigid waters of Admiralty inlet or the isolation of the wilderness of northern Canada. I love people but I need to escape and heal and energise.

Can you tell my heart is not in work work, just found this incredibly useful website - they list their plants by the month that they flower - how useful is that!!

http://www.dungevalley.co.uk/index.htm

okay - they didn't let me take you straight to the page - in the left side bar click on flowering perennials. that should do it.

Laurie, you always find the most interesting websites. Thanks! ( I should probably just start a folder called "Laurie's Finds")

Yes Laurie, they are still popping up.
So sorry you have to work.

So laurie, how do you find time to surf the web during workwork time??
You don't need to send Sofer any minions. He has his own.

I am really playing catch up - this thread has become an absolute riot!! And I'm lovin' all the fairy, gnome, minion stories (I know, I know . . . "true tales," not "stories!").

Here's one of the vendors from the garden show. Some cute things, and very nicely done in porcelain.

Pixy,
I loved his Gnomes! I almost bought one, maybe next year!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Any idea how much these run? I love them!!

I didn't look that hard, but I think they were a bit pricey. Still, really awesome work.

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

They started at $45 and went up from there. The range was about $45 to $125.

Kingston, WA

I think thats not too bad. I think they are pretty cool. Go to douglas fey pottery. This guy is making me some bird houses. These are the coolest things in the world. I'm so excited. I don't think I can sell any. Just kidden. They are all so coo I told him to give me a variety. I guess you can send him a photo of your dog or Dh and he can make one like them. Pretty cool. I'm excited

Hey all...I went to the F&G Show on Friday. Saw the said gnomes and they are ADORABLE! Great faces, great personalities, etc. Pixy, I agree, they were a tad on the spendy side. The least expensive was $49 and they went up from there. There is a small area in the QAW which screams "FAERIE GARDEN!" I really wanted a gnome or two for that place so asked the maker how durable they are. Apparently they are not made for outdoors. He said if they get wet then freeze they will break apart and that they don't handle a rain well. Needless to say, the gnomes stayed at the show ~*sign*~

Heidi's right. These are great:

are those the greatest bird houses. I ordered them in December. Beginning. I called him the other day and he said my ticket has made it to his desk. That's good he said. I don't have a favorite they are all too cool. They have some weird fairey looking gremlins.

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Wow...the Douglas Fey stuff is great, but way too spendy for my wallet (although I am particularly fond of the bloodhound ~ U"U ~, and the frogs and the rabbits and the goons ~ oh, especially the goons...oh yeah, and the cheek pullers). Someday when I have unlimited funds ~ *sigh*

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

It would be cool to have the bloodhound thing . . .

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

They are very cool-look like great gifts to me.
