Tuink - you have a dmail :-)
Tuink-you have Dmail!! I put all 3 of our Dmails together to avaoid confusion!!
I would think that at this hour, Tuink would be sleeping, as it's the opposite end of the clock. ;-D
Only a 6 hour difference!!
well....OK, she may not keep some of the crazy hours some of us seem to - LOL!
Ohhh-didn't thinak about that-now I have to slap myself!! Thanks for the common sense check!! Are you ready to mentor me through all these seeds:0-
Hi, everyone who wants to trade with me. I got your d-mails and requests, I'm going through them one at a time, but I'm super busy at the moment. I promise to get back in touch with you in a day or two. Please be patient. We are moving our youngest son up to Greenwich, CT for his first professional job as a Marine Biologist and it's all driving us a little crazy!!!
Hi Suzy, Good to "see" you too! I've got seeds, seeds, and more seeds! That list is just the "tip of the iceberg" (so to speak)! Cleaning out my seed box....you bet! Just don't have the time to sow everything....lots of veggies (some heirloom), herbs, shrubs & exotics. If interested, d-mail me....but please be patient!
Shirley
Fairy, Also, put your dmails together and post your list her so we know what's gone.
Suzy
Okay -- I know about having those kids moving out, up, and on.....Just did it myself!!!
Suzy
Shirley1md - you must be sooo proud of your son! Take your time; there is no immediate rush on the seeds lol
Yes Ma'am Captain Suzy sir!! (saluting);0 LOL I am going to do that now, writing all my stuff down so I can start getting my baggies together!! Thanks for keeping me on my toes, and thanks to this swap for leading me to my neightbor Connie!! When I get it all done tonight I will updat & post a hyperlink to the updated version!!
--> I meant to say this first off: Whoa!!! Tuikabouter, That is some list!!!
If anybody does *not* have what he wants available still, I need to know so I can look here, ok?
All the people I am watching out for-- LOL! You are on your own on this one. I have to look each item upo, too. :))
Suzy
Suzy, you are the Mighty Illoquin - but the the Almighty Illoquin lol - give yourself a rest!
you think you have to look everything up here...take a look at the web site...just the neatest stuff. I want everything!
a lot of the stuff he listed on here isn't on the site, but the site had me drooling!!
Tuinkabouter, I pulled everything for you except the Caryopteris which was spoken for, but I didn't get off my listlast night...
Suzy
Suzy, I had dmailed Tuink re some of the requests...but looks like you got most...I have a Caryopteris x clandonensis, “blue mist spiriea” out front that may still have seeds...do you want me to check?
I have to laugh while I'm reading. It reminds me of a mother hen (Suzy) scratching through some leaves, and all the biddies (us) come running to see what she has uncovered. LOL
I have never seen such organization, as you people have. I just don't know how you do it. : )
~Lucy
We follow the Illustrious Illoquin. (JUST like little baby chicks!!)
Aw, Lucy, cluck cluck!
Wind -That would be ideal if you could find some. If not, then there has to be a sold out sign sometimes! Didn't somebody Have Caryopteris Blue Mist Blue Myth? Say that 3x real fast! Pepsidrinker wanted Caryopteris, too.
It's because each person's garden is as individual as they are! You have a personality online, we all do, and I know what you like, more or less.
I can imagine your garden, Imight be totally wrong, but I can see it in my mind. I see a plant and picture it, and then I say, I bet that would look good at Lucy's!
Some people have sent me photos, and some people tell me what they want and I can see by what they are growing what they like and all.
The truth is, some of the seeds I sent out last time are coming back, because I guessed wrong. But I do have an idea of what everybody's place looks like, even "2 1/2 acres of bare ground to fill up."
I told everybopdyand I'll say it again, the more you tell me about your place, the more I can visualize it and make you happy, but there will be some duds, maybe a lot of duds in your envies. Hey! Its'a swap!
Suzy
pictures??
I'll try to keep them small....
this is what i call "the bunny bush"
it's some sort of a thorny "something" that is just fallen over and it's covered in wild grape. I've planted all the plants around it ... oh, it's where the bunnies live sometimes.
this is also about 150' behind my property... that is why it does not get watered often.
I will send you some pictures Suzy! Uploading here seems slow though and only one picture at a time?
And Wind you may have put some of that item Tuink is seeking aside for me, I would be happy to take a few seeds and pass the rest on to him. Thanks so much. KD
here -- and ignore the coyote ... the hot pink area has been planted with wild flowers [bunny bush off to the right side]
the area in yellow is an area where i've started clearing , though i've had a few buckthorns grow ... but I should have it all cleaned out in the spring ... and i do have a few things planted on the edge of the grassy area.
last one... though i do have more...
but here, again you will see the bunny bush on the southern edge ... my neighbor, with her wild imagination, wants to create a garden -- from teh bunny bush, heading north, to the edge of her property line [our lots are 63' wide]
bringing the flower garden out about 15' from the fence... and around that huge pile of soil, that she wants to rake out.
so, in length... it will be about 160' long.
she's nuts... but if she's willing to work on it, so am I.
Let's do a thread with a whole lot of pictures in a week. Next week, I mean. I know everybody would like to see all the gardens...that's the best part!!!! Problems, too!
But I'm afraid somebody will post and then there will be total silence (because the piggies are at the trough) and then some feelings will be hurt because nobody said anything nice about a garden pictured.
TCS, Dang! Does he come up to you when you are outside? That's really close. LOL! I think wildflwoers along woth that tall grass would be ideal. KD, I didn't see any 'gorgeous orange double Zinnia' seed on your seedlist! You holding out on us? LOL!
BUT, it takes time to write that and look at pictures -- really look at them I mean. Next week?
Suzy
Who has the Cercis and Dogwood seeds? TCS needs 'em. LOL! That could be incredible with that fence as a backdrop, but it needs some bones. I am so jealous! (sort of kidding on the seeds...the trees would grow froseed, but it would be a while...sometimes buying little saplings from the state of Illinois Dept of conservation is quicker easier and maybe just as cheap!
Suzy
Suzy -- I was actually on my back patio when i took that.
I think that one was the female I havent seen her in over a year... the new Male, he seems to be more of a youngster -- he's walk right passed me while i was mowing back there... didnt phase either of us.
but -- in that image, she's about 90' from me. she always used to "bolt" when she saw any movement... this one was rare when i caught her just standing there.... there are a few more images in this series... but she's running so they are blurred.
