Hi Tammy. And what were you wondering pray tell?? Where I was? Crazy weekend.
Spring Fever
Yep, just if you were up to no good or not! HA HA HA
ALWAYS up to no good! I thought you knew that already!
I was just checking to make sure! HA HA HA
I'm going to move a couple of rose bushes this afternoon. Want to come help?
Be right there! :)
I have to laugh at myself! I planted some stuff early over at this house, but now find I don't really like where it is and want to move the biggest part of it! LOL! I started a rose bed and am going to move the whole thing this spring. The 2 I'm moving now are shrub roses
Well have fun and watch those fingers! I think I will be doing a lot of rearranging as well since joining the mentor/newbie seed swap! Robin has been so helpful in what I need to do, but also made me realize what all needs to be fixed! LOL
I doubt if you will ever get everything fixed just the way you want it! When you think it is, your tastes will change! LOL
Have a good afternoon. I'll check in later
Oh say it isn't so! LOL Have a good one, Cathy!
I just went and dumped about 40 pots of pansies and now I am poopered out! I also learned it is yet another that my skin does NOT like!
Robbi
Don't you miss proper English Coffee.........................????????????????
Soda (as you call it) cans (as you call it) or tins of pop as we call it are made from aluminium.
Garden Gnomes.............. You yankees are sooooooooooooo far behind us on the gardening front. Garden Gnomes are for old people or people that are stuck in the 1970's, which is when they were popular here!! LOL
watch out or you will start what happened here in the 70's where peoples gnomes would go missing for 2 weeks. The owners would get a post card from spain saying wish you were here, having a lovely time... signed Gnome!!
Then they would mysteriously appear back in the garden again with a tan!!!!
Oh so much to answer I don't know where to begin, at the end I think !!
Gnome nobbling, the crafty art of stealing them in the night from folks gardens, it was very popular at one time in the UK, I remember this from the early 70s befor I went over there..
Al - um-in-i-um Al-oom-in-um. I still say the second one.
However I do say tomaaato, my husband however uses the US way.
Proper English coffee...........it used to come out of a bottle LOL
Gosh Laurie, you met the hub here, that is a wonderful story,so exciting.
Isn't it funny what we miss. I still yearn for Shake N Bake too and do get it posted over when I can, but the son I have left there is not talking to me at the moment so I am in detox for that one. Grape Kool Aid I use in a recipe, and Jello puddings I use in a cake.
You can get Miracle Whip here now, I laughed so loud when I saw it. I had been in Holland a few months before and popped over to Germany where I found it and brought loads back on the ferry, then a few weeks later we saw it here.
Something else I craved has just appeared here too... Clamato juice, I was going through a check out just about 4 weeks ago and the man in front of me had some, I let out a squeal and he laughed, he turned out to be a Canadian hockey player living here. The clerk didn't know what it was so he showed me the shelf, I bought all they had and got them to order me 3 cases as they said they can't always get it.
The funniest thing I have found here is in the fish and chip shops, along with the salt and pepper etc they have American chip spice, I asked what it was and was told it is what all the Americans put on their chips..Mmmmmmmmmmmm I have never seen it LOL
Distinkin my husband is from Aberdeen( the Scottish ont not the Washington one) and I even have meat and sausages mailed from there for him.
Mince pies are easy, I can send you some of those if you wish, storebought if you wish, they have a long shelf time on them. I can even send the mincemeat the real stuff as I make my own and can it. Oh canning LOL I have just had a US canner shipped over as I left mine there, and Mason jars are hopless here, forget themm here,I did brings load with me,and I get the lids sent over. Certo is hard to finds here but it shows up now and again.
I don't mind packing some Bramleys if you want to take the chance with US customs, I could use some Sweet Poato varieties from the garden centres, we only ge one here and I like to grow the slips.
Which tea do you like, I buy Tetleys in commercail sizes of 1600. make good packing material round mincepies.
Distankin, so you are a seed a holic, well me too, but veggie seeds . I hav a digusting amount of seeds, 280 varieties of tomatoes, almost the same number of squash and some very rare beans are creeping up there too now. I grow about 60 varieties of squash every year., but I do give a great many away too.'
Let me knowif you if anyone needs anything I love to share and Lauri if you want Miracle Whip I can mail you one tomorrow over to Caistor, Dmail me the address and it is yours.
Nearly time to go to bed, school is back tomorrow after the Christmas break.
Talk to you all soon, don't forget the offers, I truly mean it. XX Jeannine
Lauri-- I had to laugh at the "Are you O.K?.". Being a California girl myself I encountered the southern version when we moved to Arkansas. My response to the initial "You all right?" was "why? do I look pale?" 25 years later I am indeed "All Right"! Enjoying the chat--3 more work days and I am officially retired (not old enough to really retire--but will be gainfully unemployed;)so will be a little more verbose.
Tommie
Oh Tommie I am so jealous! This IS a chosen thing though? Not a lay off?
Hi all, back to the old trusty SLOW Dell again!
Morning Tammy. How is everything in your world this morning?
Hey Cathy, would be much better if not having to use this PC this morning! LOL It takes forever to load, but at least we have it as a back up! How's you doing?
Back at work and getting ready to dial in to our teleconference. Will be off for an hr or so.
OH NO, another one of those?!
EVERY week!!!! :-)
Poor Dear Cathy!
Roooooooooobbiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,
Oh I would be ever grateful and in your debt if you could find me some 'Udderly Smooth Udder Creme' It comes in a tube that is white with black cow spots on it...I will send you much Tetley for it!!! My skin is sooooooo dry and that works wonders!!!
Thank You Thank You .........Oh Thank You
Hugs
Lauri
Hi all, I just talked with our dear Shirley's son and he says I can have all of her houseplants! I am just ecstatic over being allowed to keep and care for her plants!
Lauri-I know the stuff-I will go on a hunt for it :o)
Tammy nice to hear the good news!!
Good deal Tammy! I'm glad for you
I am just so tickled!
Does she have alot of them? Are you still going to name one of them for her?
Not sure how many, but quite a few. Will try to count later when I get them home and let ya all know. I want to give each one some little thing to remind myself how precious they are!
Oh thank you Robbi..........let me know how what goodies you want in exchange!!!!!!!!!!
Tammy that is great news!!! Waiting to hear how many and what newbees you got.....
Lauri
Very precious.
That is so wonderful Tammy, I know she was very dear to you.
Robbi, Walmart carries the udder cream. love it too.
Thanks, Lauri! Waiting for my son to get home from school so he can help, and to let him talk with the son just a LITTLE bit. JR is very depressed and has been 'losing' it the last few days he said, and Dustin can bounce off your butt at times and be a bit on the nerve racking side. :(
Thanks, Robin, glad to see you are still kickin! :)
short kicks. still kinda off my rocker though. Meds didn't help there.
I MUST be nice on that one! Running really fast for even thinking of a smart remark! LOL
No worries, I'm in a very good mood today.
Been working on your drawing again. I've got some really cool ideas, I hope you like.
Tammy do you have yahoo or msn instant messenger
I have yahoo, but I am on the OLD and VERY SLOW pooter since the other one made yet ANOTHER trip to PC Heaven! LOL
Thats ok, we will get this worked out. I may have to draw it and send it to you. I can't figure out how to work anything on this puter, it's my daughter mac and everything is as.backwards to me.
