Sadie - wow 20 cardinals at once. I don't think I've ever seen more that 2 or three at a time.

I've had a lot of Red-winged black birds the last 2 days. Some of them try to eat out of the tube feeder...

2 RWBBs. They stayed on the feeder for 20 minutes or more

I haven't been using the new camera for bird photography but yes the colors are MUCH better. Reds and Oranges are real! :-)

This Towhee is either hungrier, braver or dumber that the rest of the birds that refuse to be out in a pouring down rain.

He looks hungry adelbert, and miserable, poor thing!

It's been chilly and mostly very dull the last two days but I got some pics!

This Thrush was near my greenhouse yesterday, all puffed up, it looks like a young bird for this time of year, wing feathers are short.

Trying to be big and feeding himself.

Great Tit, there must have been brief sunshine (too brief to remember!) but winds were freezing.

It sat on the sheltered side of an old pigeons nest to preen itself.

Looks like one of my baby Wood Pigeons nearly grown up. It was much duller than appears, I had the camera on +2.3EV.

Blue Tit very high up scurrying around the branches in search for food.

There has been owls around making eerie noises recently, tonight one was fairly near on the neighbour's oak. I could only just see the silhouette, the camera did well to pick it out. This from a distance.

Closer still, but still some distance away. It turned it's head and after that I couldn't focus on it even with it's eyes glowing, it flew away, I guess it didn't like me taking it's pics.
