Thanks Louise. I do try to have a diverse selection.
More Snow Photos!
I'm just picturing some of your photographs framed and matted........Oh, Yeah....I'd love to choose the matting colors, etc. Do you ever submit any of yours to local artist photog. contests?
Louise, one day I took a painting my son did to get framed. There were a few peolpe waiting, and this one lady in front of me did well picking out mats to go with the picture, but chose the wrong frame. I told her to go with a darker color to match a color in the pic. She hesitated, but then went with the one I picked. Hope she liked it in the end!
I need to get some prints made up actually to enter a few things.
I enter pics in here for fun:

tough to win, usually the offbeat stuff does better
Don't you just love working with the colors and textures to put it all together, Deb? That's one of my favorite things to do. Just as you were describing with your son's painting, the "right" colors and types of frames just seem to jump out. I can't draw a thing, but I do ok with the framing part. My DH is artistic. I treasure some sketches he did in St. Lucia on our honeymoon. I have them framed here.
Frames make a huge difference.
Those are all nice, Al. Congrats! Does your town or area have "sidewalk art shows" where artists & photographers display their works in store windows? Three different ones (high end) are going on in this area right now, and Keene, NH has a good one each summer. Many of the artists or photographers get pretty good prices for a lot of them. There are also prizes and ribbons given sometimes.
Thanks. I need to get a higher megapixel camera to enlarge them well or sell them really, hopefully this year some time.
We don't have any showings. Appleton might, I haven't looked into it.
I saw a photo printed on large canvas - it was beautiful with a $600 price tag on it.
Snow here tomorrow - jetBlue canceled most flights already just in case (LOL) and schools are canceled too. xx, C
How much are you supposed to get. We were right on the border of 2-4 and 3-7 so I guess we could get anywhere from 2-7. On the weather report they did say further east was getting hit hard this time. Eleanor
Nice shots Al! I like post #4397171 the best.
Fantastic shots Al. You totally inspire me.
