i have never planted bulbs before, how do they work..how do you propagate them..?
how do you plant and care for bulbs?
What kind of bulbs ?
amaryllis...and daffodils
Daffodils are planted outside in the Fall because they need a chill period. They bloom in Spring. They will mulitply nicely all by themselves, given the right conditions, in my experience doubling every year. (sunny spot, good drainage) The bulbs should be firm, not mushy, slimey or shriveled. If your ground is not frozen yet, you can still get them planted, generally at a depth of 6". pointy end up.... If you are thinking of forcing them for an inside bloom, then they are handled differently.
