I'm living in an area where we don't get much light, especially in the winter. I was curious as to whether using a full spectrum light bulb would help with this or whether i need some special light if i were to go this route.

full spectrum light for plants
I just buy the shop lights at Wal-Mart in the hardware department area ...$7.96 each - and you can hang them from chains, or screw them into wooden shelves. I have those metal plant stands so I just wired mine to each shelf of the stand. Works great!
