TA - Too cute! Love it! :-) :-) :-)
Frass Happens :o)
That is sooo cute. Love that milkweed in the photo.
Drats...still haven't heard back from Cornerstop.

Ted....you been lurking on here??? LOL!! Glad to know you still have electricity up there, we have been seeing a lot of folks that don't on TV.
The pic looks great, but I think the lettering would be a little pale for a bumper sticker. Make it bold and dark orange or green, please.
So Cat.....you want to go to Zazzle and create the sticker there and see how much it would be? Not trying to push you, it is your baby after all. Just anxious to buy some! http://www.zazzle.com/cr/design/pt-bumpersticker

I'd like to be next in line... My wheelbarrow needs a little color!
What is s/w Fly? Evidentally a flustrating program, but I don't have anything but paint to play with and want to make sure I don't buy that one. I may ask Santa for a program to play with. I can visualize what I want but don't have the ability to do it. Use to be a crafter before gardening got me!
Going Christmas shopping before it snows today, will work on it later.
Sheila, S/w is software.....I wouldn't buy it unless you can look at it before you buy. I need to take a class on it, or 2 or 3.
Ted, what program are you using to edit?
Shiela,
Am going to give Cornerstop until Monday or so. I've looked at the zazzle...so that will next on my list. Cornerstop will probably only charge $1 or $2 at the most.

Ted, that looks great!
Woowoo!!! You got a home run there Ted!
Yepper, that's THE one!!!
Kim
Looks great, Ted!!!
I remember the first time I heard the term "frass". I had sent a picture of my first great "Monarch eggs" find via d-mailed to Debnes. She congratulated me on finding "frass" and told me to brush those off and look for the cats that were probably hiding under the milkweed leaves. Puzzled it was poo instead, then relieved that I had asked her first before posting my great egg find. It was also my first cat sighting, thanks to Debnes' advice to follow the trail of "frass".
I'd already sent in a plain cat photo with frass but when I saw that one with the milkweed I edited the photo...cleaned up the background, re-did the frass and removed the second caterpillar head that was in the photo. I emailed it last night to Cornerstop.
These are the two she send back. She likes the second photo but said it pictulates so it would be a bit shakey (have no idea what that means).
I like the first one...I think the added color of the milkweed is eye-catching...but yet, I like the clean view of the monarch cat on the second one.
Whatcha'll think?
~ Cat
ps...I noticed the letter "p" in "happens" on the first photo blends into the border Cornerstop added. If that's one the one everyone prefers I will go back and edit that and move the letter up a little higher and re-send it to her.

I'm with you Cat~ I too, vote for the 1st one.
Kim
Cat, what she is meaning is it distorts the pixels breakdown and cause the blurry pic. If Fly will send the original one with the Milkweed to you by regular email (and without the DG copyright) you can make the changes and direct email it on to her.
Fly...do you have a high quality image of the monarch and milkweed? Am thinking you probably resizedthe photo to get it posted on Dave's as the one you emailed me was only 36 kb in size.
If so, email it to me and I'll edit it at this end then send Cornerstop the high quality graphic image and she can resize it as she sees fit so the pixelation won't suffer too much.
~ Cat
Cat, it's on its way!
Fly...
Okay...got that one at 1023x717. Good size to work with. Still can't believe it is only 72 kb in size :o)
My camera takes photos that are usually 3 to 5 mb in size :o) 3264x2448 pixels. I have lots of room to manipulate the photos without losing the graphic quality.
Will work on this photo and resend it to Cornerstop.
So are we all leaning towards the one with the milkweed in the photo?
Fly...your monarch caterpillar is gonna be famous!!! Soon enough we're all going to have it on our bumpers and it will be seen across North America :o) You best start thinking of a cute name for it.
~ Cat
Cat, I can change the setting, let me know if you need it bigger...... I have 5 cats that are still eating.
I like that pic with the mw in it, it can be a sort of subliminal, saying this is what the Monarch cats eat. Maybe I'm expecting too much for a bumper sticker to be an educational tool LOL
Woohoo...he's famous! Everyone can help think of a cool name for him.
"Dumper"?..... sorry my bad....it is past my bedtime..lol!
Fly...that photo worked well.
but I have two more questions for ya'll....
Does the straight font look okay? I noticed when I rotated the letters the pixels outlining the letters faded out and made the letters look too ragged. Am thinking if ya'll like the squiggly letters I can save each letter as a graphic file then copy them into the photo and rotate them without losing the edging.
Does the frass in this one look too fake? I was trying to clean up the photo and decided to lay out the pellets...but now it looks like foot prints :o)
If so I'll go back and wipe out the frass line and cut and paste the other with the original mix of pellets.
Lemme know.............
I've resized this photo to fit on Dave's easier. Will send Cornerstop the original when we agree on a design :o)
Who would've thought the laying of poo would be such a science! ROLF!!!

Okay...I lied...one more edit...
Here I squiggled the letters like the original design...and resized it to make viewing faster.
Still need to know if the frass line looks too posed? Too many pellets?
~ Cat
ps...hmmm...this looks like it would make a good header for stationery :o)

Cat.... remember you asked...lol!
The frass doesn't look like frass with the 'posed' trail. I liked the frass on the pic without the MW. ......But I like the Milkweed pic better because of the color. However, I didn't care much for the one large ball near the cat's tail, then small ones out from it. Can you take the one large piece of frass and duplicate it just a few sparingly and at random placement; maybe five-seven, with a couple close together, etc?
The idea for this is wonderfu. I agree with Sheila. And Just my thoughts on the picture: make the frass look like real frass by making to scale in relation to the cat in the picture. The first post of the picture of the Silkmoth is what comes to mind as far as original size. Maybe the cat could be more visible in the trail of poop by bringing him down from the leaves a bit.
Would it make him more visiable if you cut the leaf that is near him?
Adding my 2 cents to the pile of frass...
I agree with the "posed poop" comment, it doesn't look natural, and the sizing is an issue too. I really like the bit of color that the flowers add to the whole design.
Now I'm being nitpicky about the font/wiggly letters- maybe "happens" not squiggly? It could be that with the trail of frass being squiggly, the letters being squiggly and the font being sort of bumpy, it seems like my eyes were going a little haywire. I just reread that and it sort of makes sense- does anyone understand what I'm trying to say??
Cathy
Cat - The bumper sticker looks great! I do agree with everyone so far. The frass in the photo looks more like caterpillar footprints instead of frass. I would also bring the cat away from the plant just a tad so that you can better see that it is a Monarch cat. And add less frass, but make it a little bit bigger and maybe place it randomly and in clumps. (That might look a little more realistic.)
Hard to believe that placement for frass requires such accuracy and science! LOL!
Becky- "caterpillar footprints," that made me crack up!
LOL!! What a hilarious idea!! Put me down for some bumper stickers Cat.. Neat pics Ted, and Roxanne!! ROFL!! You guys are killing me!!
Your Forbes looks like it's about ready to poopate gf!!
debnes
Very cute Ted! you are an artist!!
Been wondering when you would show up Deb!! LOL!! You were missing all the frassitement!!
I was making a tiny little pond for my birdages... Glad I found you guys LOL!!
debnes
Too funny Deb....poopate :o) ROLF!!!
Ted...that one is good too. Am waiting for Cornerstop to give me a price quote. So many caterpillars...so much poo...so many ideas :o)
I tried zazzle but kept having trouble with the uploads and edits. I gave up. Alas, I am still on dial-up :o) I know, I know...it's the ice age way to do things...pity that I have a new lap top - just haven't gotten off my frass and gotten hooked up with dsl.
Am thinking I want a t-shirt and cap with that logo too - so will try zazzle again when I have more time. Frass Happens :o)
~ Cat
Frassitement...poopate....haha!
I like the Tshirt and cap ideas......what about sticky note pads and mousepad?
So, are we all on the same page....the frass looks better in odd numbers? LOL
Cat, did you get the pic of the one cat?
Yes Fly...I created one on zazzle (made myself a tshirt too) and another through a different ebayer. Am still waiting on Cornerstop - she's probably frustrated with me for emailing so many edits :o) ROLF! Am still going to stick mainly with Cornerstop and they seem to have the best price so far...but she hasn't said how much she will charge on this one yet.
