Heh heh...was cleaning out the Rothschildia Forbes' Silkmoth caterpillar cage and couldn't resist taking the liberty and photographic license :o)

Frass Happens :o)
ROTF!! That is too funny. My family had to ban me from talking about caterpillar poo at the table. I'm like, "It's just leaves that have been digested", but they don't seem to be as enthralled as I am.
Melanie
Too cute! That looks like a great T-Shirt pic. You should go to Zazzle and create yourself one! LOL!
LOL! Great shot of cat poo! Perfect ditty to go with it! Hee hee!
Thanks ya'll. I think a photo of a big fat juicy monarch caterpillar would truly be the epitome of a butterfly caterpillar - and anyone who has raised those knows all about how much frass they generate :o)
If anyone has a good focused photo of a monarch cat leaving poo droppings let me know, I'd like to email it to seller Cornerstop on ebay to see if she would make a small quantity of bumper stickers.
~ Cat
Oh poo! No frass photos in my archives. Bummer!!!!
Monarch's frass? How about Tersa Moth's? The ravenous eater's could teach other b.f. a thing or two. Great pic. Cat~
I'd love to have a bumper sticker that says "Frass happens" lol, lol.
Cat, I still have some cats and this one is huge, I think he may have an eating disorder, he just keeps on munchin!
I would love to have a bumper sticker like that too. The one I have now is the 'Got Milkweed?', but love the Frass Happens!
Let me know if you have a good idea how to pose him and the props lol
Wooooweeeee!!! They're almost the size od deer's dropping. lol.
Lots, lots of milkweed leaves hehhhhh?
Haha, they seem that big when cleaning up don't they?
Fly...if you can get a clean shot of just the caterpillar with a trail of frass behind it - that would work. Or perhaps you can get a photo of the caterpillar stretched out and then another photo of various frass pellets...then we can photo shop it into one :o)
Sort of what I did with the first two frass pellets behind my Forbes' cat :o)
I think it would be nice to have a little trail of pellets that would sort of curl under the wording "Frass Happens" then to the right side of the bumper sticker would be the big fat monarch cat.
Am thinking Monarch caterpillar because it is so widely recognized...as opposed to a moth caterpillar like the Forbes' or Tersa etc. Everyone just seems to know what a monarch cat looks like and how much they can eat too.

It would be cute...do it before someone else runs with the idea!
Yup, yup, and patent it too. lol, lol.
Kim
I know, I know, add a danty colorful flower to the last picture. Then we've a perfecttttttt. Bumper sticker! :-)
That's a good one Fly :o)
will send you d-mail with my email so you can send that photo. I will then send it to ebay seller to see if she can make a bumper sticker out of it...unless you'd like to contact her yourself?
~ Cat
No, you go ahead, I was just helping you out.........it's such a great idea!
Okay...ya'll...I've emailed Cornerstop and am waiting for a response. Would like to send her this photo so she can get an idea of what we're looking for. I took the liberty of flipping Rox's photo (since we read from left to right...I figured the caterpillar best be walking from left to right as well).
Hopefully Cornerstop will agree and be able to make a few bumper stickers at a reasonable price. Will keep ya'll updated if she agrees.
~ Cat
What looks better? Scribbly font like this...or the next photo with a straight lined font?
Okay...Sandy from Cornerstop emailed me so I just got done emailing her photos of the monarch caterpillar with frass and two other fonts showing the straight lined font and squiggly font designs. Let's see what she says tomorrow.
~ Cat
Looks great Cat, I like the scribbly letters.
Love both! Awesome job Roxanne and Cat! I WANT ONE!!! (So please don't forget me when you start taking orders, Cat!)
Yeah, I like the squiggly lettered one too. I sent the photos to Tracy at Cornerstop...am waiting for her reply. I asked for a price quote but also figured if she puts them up on ebay anyone can order them from there :o)
Will keep ya'll updated

It may need something more for the length of a bumper sticker, say a colorful mexican milkweed bloom.
I think you can create a bumper sticker on the Dave's Zazzle account, find it through the Extras link. You could put "Frass happens at Davesgarden.com" LOL!
Sheila! That's too funny. lol,lol.
Kim
I like the squiggly one too, it blends better with the squiggly caterpillar!
Let's see, one for the car, one for the soil bin, one for the fertilizer bin, two for the seed binders....
Cathy
LOL Sheila!
Good idea Sheila, I have some mw blooming....Cat, what do you think?
Put Cathy down for 10...heehee
A sprig of milkweed off to one side sounds good too. I haven't heard back from Tracy yet.
~ Cat
I like the way you think fly_girl, make it a dozen and add a couple on the shed!
Cathy, the way I look at it...you can't have too many funny bumper stickers!
Here's another pic with the mw flower and another poser. They weren't very cooperative; rolling in a ball when I try to pose them and pooping in the wrong place. lol
I don't think they cared that they could be bumper sticker stars!
That's so funny, all that posing probably scared the frass outta them!
Oh boys! oh boys! Now you can just hear me saying "Gez! such and such scared the frass outa me". lol, lol.
Kim
Hey Fly, take that last picture and tweek it a bit more. Take out the curled cat, and rotate the pic to the left a few degrees so the pic can be elongated like a bumper sticker. Looking good!!
TAR; the pic. is nicely done! I like that too. :-)
Kim
Yes, now add the "Frass Happens".
That is so darn cute!
TA, that's perfect!!! LOve it!!!
I was trying to do it with PhotoShop and get so frustrated. Does anyone else think that s/w is ridiculously difficult?
