Sorry I can't help with the ID, but you might get better results in the Plant ID Forum.

My mom called hers a Wax plant. See what you think.

it is! thank you!

Yes, it is a Hoya. There are tons listed in Plant Files. It could be the Krimson Princess, but I am not great at giving ID's on hoya's. A couple of them look alike to me!

Glad we could help.

This one form of a Hoya plant(there are some cool forms of this plant) when it blooms there is little clusters of light pink or white flowers on them that are supposed to smell-but I have never gotten mine to bloom.

MOm never got hers to bloom, either. How sad. I'll bet they're pretty.

this is a Hoya plant there are many different kinds (rope hoya in really cool) they do bloom little clusters of white flowers that kind of smell funny-but nice plant easy to grow.

Grove, OK

Wow, I have one of these and wasn't sure what it was, either! Had it growing in the ground outside a couple years ago, but it didn't do well there (leaves rusting and blackening), so I potted it. Now I think it might be 10 yards long if I gave it something upon which to extend and climb. Checking out the photos here has inspired me to do just that! Had no idea that it could ever flower, either.
Maybe the right mix of fertlizer would encourage it to bloom that way? Sure would love to see it!

Thanks for asking about this plant, Kapr! Just joined here, but already enthused about learning more.

You have to have a lot of patience with Hoyas. Some can take years before they bloom. They take a while to become established. They will bloom when they are almost root bound. Try not to prune it because it always flowers on the same long spurs that appear. If you cut those, there will be no blooms. I hope that helps.
