Sherrie, those are the best looking Christmas "cards" I've seen/smelled so far! Are you cooking for an army, or what!
POST YOUR HOLIDAY "CARDS" HERE!
Looks yummy! I am cooking up a storm today too, have a crowd coming over tomorrow night. Between now and then I have to make:
Pumpkin Bread
Blueberry Bread
Chocolate Creme Pie
Blackberry Cheesecake
Brownies
3 Tourtiere pies
Honey Glazed Ribs
Prime Rib
Garden Salad
Pasta Salad
2 loafs of white bread
2 loafs of wheat bread
Christmas Wreath
The chicken wings ( oriental and honey mustard), homemade dips, and friut cake my brother is bringing. And each DD will bring something too. A feast fit for a King, and even the pickest eaters will find something they like here!!

Yum!!! Take a photo of it all laid out! Sounds wonderful. You must be a great cook, Celeste.
Well Victor, DH and the kids think im a good cook, but I am my worst critic. I do enjoy cooking, especially if no one is home to distract me and I have the music of my choice on...then im a very happy little french cook!
The brownies, pump. & b. berry breads are all done. Now for the Tourtière pies!!
And what's your favorite cooking music??
A good mixture of things actually, some soft rock, some 60's, I like Sarah Mclachlan, and Nelly. Pat Benetar, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, and Bob Seagar and the Silver Bullet Band. Like most anything, not to big on Country, I do like some classical, so does Justin so we listen to it together.
Wish I could show you my Christmas card but do not know how so I wish all of you on this great NE forum the Merriest Christmas
Maria
Thanks Maria and Merry Christmas to you!! Eleanor
Sherrie trust me I know about trashing the kitchen... I have been baking cookies for a week... almost all of them given out already... I have to make a few more batches when I come home from work today... I have to make some for my own family now
Pixie that is one heck of a menu.... I am tired just from reading it
I only cook these shells once a year as gifts to the kids. It's all they want. They beg and plead and get down on their knees MERCY MERCY MERCY. This is the 1st year I have doubled these dang things. They are going home with 2 trays. This is 3rd and final day as they are going in the oven tray, by tray by tray.
The best rewards are their faces and hearing stories how they fight over them for breakfast, yes breakfast. Plus starting the tomato's by seed, nurturing, harvesting, canning and using.
Ahhhh a gift of love schickenlady! Thats the same with my kids, only tried one time not serving the Tourtière pies at Christmas. Never tried it again!! And yes, they eat the pies for breakfast too.
Celeste, I hope you're planning on taking a vacation after all that baking!
DD and I just finished baking the parts for the gingerbread house. After Christmas we will assemble it - then New Year's Day we smash it to smitherines with a hammer and eat it! Yum!
IOne difficulty - can get Rowntree Rosebuds in the US. We always used them for the roof tiles. The Rosebuds are like Hershey Kisses without the foil - and the milk chocolate is in a swirl.
Trust me - milk chocolate and gingerbread is an awesome combination :-)

There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.

Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow...

Have a delightful holiday, and a new year filled with laughter, light, and love!

To all the well-wishers here, a very very Merry Christmas indeed. today all your hard work will be worth it when you see the joy on your family's faces. there is no day when the love surrounds us all like Christmas if we are lucky enough to be with our loved ones.
Looks like Santa was here last night. Older DGD, age 18, told me she was 'so excited about Christmas this year' and her face just beamed when she said it. I love that. I hope she still feels that way when she's my age. I do!
