That is beautiful. Is it near your home? Just for contrast, it was 79 degrees here some 2 hours ago. It is now 63 and the low is to be 41. Warm again in a couple of days. Haven't had a frost yet and the elephant ears are still putting out new growth.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, DUH. Didn't read far enough in you post. Your back 40. I can't even imagine.

Tillysrat..sorry 'sweetie' just scrolled down to see I'd missed your post...guess it's understandable for everyone to be busy/busy at this time of year...love the snow photo's..much the same here in Ontario's north..

(Zone 1)

Oh, I'm loving the Snowy photo's! It's been a very long time since I've seen that stuff! We were just discussing on another thread about the different weather. One lady posted a pic for me of her area in Idaho with snow so I posted this photo for her that I took a couple of months ago when we were out in our boat one day. Dolphins were feeding in the river and I got a shot of them before they submerged completely. As I told her, the only white we see is the white sand beaches and foam from the salt water.

plantladylin...will be spending Christmas in Clearwater..hope to see your white as well...not that of the blowing snow I'm looking at today...yuk/yuk..

(Zone 1)

Betty: I love the Clearwater area! We used to trailer our boat over there years ago for vacation. Stayed on Clearwater beach and would take the boat out every day to Beautiful Caladesi Island!

Victoria Harbour, ON

We're on Gulf to Bay..about the middle between Tampa Bay and the ocean..I understand though that the weather is not at it's best right now..had hope for sunbathe..lol. guess I'm outof luck..still a couple of weeks to go..I'll keep praying..

(Zone 1)

Well, it's in the 60's today and tomorrow here on the east side of the state but a bit warmer over in the Tampa/Clearwater area! Our low here tonight is supposed to be in the mid 40's. It's always a bit cooler on the Atlantic side ... the Gulf is much warmer! I know a lot of Floridian's think this is cold weather (mid 60's) but it's actually nice with the sun shining. It's supposed to be back up to 80 by Friday!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I might be in luck then...will be travelling over to St. Augustine to visit with Seedtosser and family who will be there for 2 weeks..they live near Chicago so, with both of us in the same state, we will try to visit for a day! I'm so excited about that...I'd better not hyjack the thread...thanks for your info..

Sorry Tillysrat...sometimes I just get carried away with gabbing!

(Zone 1)

Oh, I'm sorry too .... same here with gabbing and forgetting what thread I'm on!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

You will never be able to catch up with my penchant for OT. I actually love it when one begins to tell of their lives. Easier to understand just why one plant or another appeals. Have a Merry, Merry Christmas. DH and I drove to Houston (228 miles) to spend the day with IslandShari while they were here from the Marshall Islands. We met Texasgal77 at Rjuddharrisons home and the fun and love just flowed. Wouldn't take for it.

Sorry was going to post back after reading all the posts, and just as I touch the
keyboard the power went out last nite, so trying it again and I can't remember what I was going to say. Think on it LOL>>>

Snows gone but it was raining so bad, there are flooded areas, land slides including my road, I live in the woods so to speak, towns only 5 miles away.
My little creek is all over the place, thank goodness the house sets high. well enough of that!!

This is why I wanted to start this tread, to give Holiday cheer to all so gab away,
liking it.

Love the pic of the dolfins, never been to Florida but came from Calif. 20 years ago, been here since.

If I missed any post , I'll get back to rereading where I left off last night.

Love all the furry babies, and love pics

This is Tilly and Rat (that is his name, he looked like one when he was born)

Tills

(Zone 1)

Tills: So glad you are ok out there where all that bad weather had been hitting! I saw on the news about all the flooding and mud slides! Stay safe!

Love those two kitties! Tillie looks a bit like my "Cookie".

Thumbnail by plantladylin
Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Rat is the big one.

Cookie is so pretty, I cant tell in the pic but does she have a short tail, The reason I asked is that Rat was born with a half tail that never grew, his momma has a tail that looks like a check mark, thats why we call her corky.

Corky on the left Rat on the right

Thumbnail by tillysrat
(Zone 1)

Nope, Cookie has a regular ole' long cat tail! LOL.

Oh, so Corky is Rat's mama? I thought they looked alike! Must have been some genetic thing with their tails?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

A Vet told me that it is caused from the sacks the kittens are in, in the womb are to small and the tails can from right but the kittens are alright. Corky had 8 kittens all had funny tails, so look like little pigs tail, Rat was the runt had to bottle feed him, but know hes a moose. LOL

Necedah, WI(Zone 4b)

What is it with runts? I've raised some runts who turned into moose, too. :) must be all that extra love and food

(Zone 7a)

We got the runt too. WAY smaller than the others. Now he's HUGE. 26 lbs. He's the white one in the pic I sent earlier.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

That is a huge and beautiful kitty, Kwanjin. Does he act like a dog? He looks at least part Flame Point Siamese, and they're supposed to be the puppies of the feline world.
