Right, Ice Klingons could be a shock there.
What did you see on your walk?
Please. I don't even want to imagine.
Ahhhhhh, the old frozen dogleg issue........remember it well. Cute dog, Harper!!
Candyce - your imaginary treadmill images are just as welcome as the real thing here! LOL
No photos from this morning, but the River was "socked in" and the pelicans were everywhere!
Thanks Louise!
What kind?
Did you dip your quackers in?
We passed this cardboard fern with its lethal pod of red berries on our walk this morning. Awhile back on one of the threads I mentioned that someone had given me some cuttings of this interesting tropical plant, and I planted them, but then pulled them all out once I learned how deadly these red berries are for dogs. Someone on DG posted that she had bought a house with these plants in her pool cage, and her two healthy dogs had ingested the berries and both died from multiple organ failure. That did it for me! But look how unusual this pod of berries is!
Oh, you are clever and on top of your game as always!
Thanks! Like those berries - looks like corn cobs but inside out.
Scary little suckers though!!
I went on a quick walk around my garden (it's cold and raw!) and saw lots of deer poop! Saw some damage as well. I was overdue on my spraying (didn't follow my own advice from my article - Duh!) so I went around spraying everything. Now my hands smell like that crap.
You need to make peace with those deer, Victor! They sense your hostility! LOL
I'd rather make pieces!
Shame on you!!!
Guess what?
The 'big guy' (DSIL) moved the treadmill to the basement ... gloomy place. But there is a window ... although all you can see is the snow right now. And, the treadmill is closer to the wood furnace, so I can imagine lots of warmer things on my walk now.
Candyce - I'm so glad to see your post....I was beginning to get worried about you.....thought you might have fallen into a snow puddle or something!! LOL I like Harper's mural suggestion....you are artistic....go for it! How are the little ones in your household doing? Have you had lots of snow lately?
Oh, and Harper.........that's a great place to walk in this winter weather!! Did you make yourself at home? LOL
Well, good for you, Harper!! Adorable shot!!
Thanks! I was sitting in a child sized chair - a mini duplicate of the one next to it. It was only $25, so I was testing it out to see if I'd fit. It was comfy! My hips took the chair with them when I stood up, though.
Funny! Better you than me!! LOL
Oh, so funny, Harper!!
I think I'd LOVE walking the stores, looking at furniture. Now, if I can just get out for a few hours!!!
No. I haven't fallen into any snow puddles!
One newborn ....
One thirteen month old ....
One eighteen month old .....
I babble a lot these days!!!!!
I'd be babbling too!
You really must have your hands full, Candyce! I can't imagine having the energy to keep up with three little munchkins!! I'm sure Miss M. is your able assistant with the little one!?
And I'd be babbling some things those munchkins shouldn't hear sometimes!! LOL
Hey Al, I exaggerated a little. It stuck to my hips, but I only lifted it about an inch before it fell. I'll try to find a funny pic for you!!
It's not so bad, Louise. Little Miss M does help a lot, and the look of pride on that 18-month-old face is priceless! She gets to carry "Baby Sean's" finished bottle to the sink and put it in - which she can just barely accomplish. But, to her, it's "her" job!!
Little Miss Audri, who is now 13 months old, still hasn't figured out how to sleep through the night, and, now that "Baby Sean" is in the hospital for a few days with RSV, I get to be the lucky one who gets up to be with her at 11 PM and then again at 3 AM. Hence, the reason I am typing away madly at 4 AM!!
But, I sincerely love naptime ~ from noon until three!!!
Interesting sign, Al! We had plenty of them on our country road in NH.....I prefer snowshoes myself! But I also prefer a canoe to a power boat.
Beautiful sunflower!!
Gorgeous sunflower, and thanks for sharing it, Louise.
RSV is kinda like a very bad cold, but not quite pneumonia. It's good that he was admitted before it DID become pneumonia.
Thanks, Harper and Candyce!
I hope Baby Sean is home and feeling much better very soon!
I wish I had taken my camera with me on our walk this morning. We saw a beautiful, graceful Great Blue Heron and lots of action in the River. A mullet jumped right next to the seawall, and it was pretty big for a mullet. Today was the prettiest day we've had since we came down. Wish you were all here!
i'm guessing a mullet to you is different than a mullet to me...

Oh no, one time I went into one of those no appointment hair places...and asked the stylist to trim my hair an inch - I ended up with a mullet, my hair was an inch long on top and long every where else - my worst ever haircut!
hahahaha - i feel your pain!
i had one of those when i was about 12 - they told me it would be just the thing for my naturally curly hair.
EEEEK! The horror...the horror...
i keep giggling at the image of mullet action in the river.
