Cujo?
What did you see on your walk?
Al~ you really need to get some sleep, those circles under your eyes are getting noticabel!
I think he could use a good shave at the barbershop too!
Great shots Al! Are those nuts fishing? I haven't been out to take photos for days!

I love the downtown one.
The sun was nice, I'll have to get out by the lake a bit later. The guys fishing was funny to me because they were 10' from shore and the boats.
Beautiful photos Al. Mostly A shots, I'd say.
Al - fantastic A shots! I do love the sunset photos especially, including that one with the robin silhouetted. LOL
I took a walk around the hotel parking lot this morning......nothing to report of any interest. I'd be grateful if you would say prayers please for a safe flight this afternoon. My DH gets so nervous about flying, and we are crossing our fingers that Molly makes the weight limit to fly with us in the cabin. If she doesn't, we'll be driving up after all!
Happy Day everyone!!
Gators?
Nah - It has like 4 paper mills a 1/4 mile upstream from there.
That reminds me of a funny story I heard that happened near my parents house - a hippo escaped from a game farm and went in to a trout creek and surprised a fisherman.LOL
That would be quite a shock!
OK - let's get walking again, people!! If I could walk in the snow when we were in New England, I'm waiting to see hear/see some walking talk from some other DGers as well!!
Now that we're back in Fla., here are the latest views of the River in the early morning......always changing, always new critters to watch.....
hehe...sorry, I'm with you in spirit on your walks, but it's currently -16, I ain't walking anywhere except to the kitchen for more coffee!!!
3G, I hear ya! Way to cold, wind is really howling now making the temps plunge!
Actually, I am on board with that here too! I won't be doing much walking in the morning.....way too cold for me.......and it's only going to be 22! 16 degrees and howling winds are good enough excuses for me!! Stay in, Stay warm and cozy......I'll take you both with me vicariously when it's "walkable" again in a couple of days.
i was hearing worrisome things about the orange crop in FL on NPR tonight, with the extreme lows - something about 4 hours below a certain temperature would damage the actual trees, not just the fruit?
That's right, Amy. It was really touch and go for awhile, but the growers lucked out with the dew point being so low that frost was avoided. I lost a couple of plants that I forgot to cover, but so far the ones I covered are looking ok - for the most part. The wind chill made the effective temps in the teens. Very cold and windy and it would have been very expensive for us all if the farmers had not worked so hard to cover all their crops. It was interesting to see on the news.......they poured a lot of compost on top of the plants until they were buried. I brought many inside, including one of my tomatoes that we could carry.
One unusual thing we've noticed about the height of the water in the River is that it has gone down several feet since the high winds of the freeze. Yesterday, the water line was way out, and this morning it had come back up some, but nowhere near the usual height that is just below the top of the seawall. There are lots of sharp clam shells and barnacles visible now. As a kid, I found out the hard way that you can't step on the bottom with bare feet if you want to have any feet left.
wow. somehow the fact that they feel like they have to say that doesn't make me feel safer.
what kind of place is it?
Marriage counselor.
That's the same place that I took the pic of the security camera and it also had a sign about no cell phones or cameras so I like to bug them. They print books and games there.
Guess you have to make your shivs inside.
