Our weather today:
Began with my usual check of the temp at about 7 AM ~ brrr cold!!
14* at that time of the morning. It has warmed up to 23* now (9:30 ish)
The sun is bright and warm, though. At least it is when I am sitting indoors!!
The cats are sitting in their own pool of sunlight, too.

The weatherman calls for partly cloudy skies with a high temp of 48*.
The breezes are slight and out of the south, so it should stay warm today.
We shall see if it does.
What I don't like is that there will be just nine hours of daylight.
BUT!!!! It's getting closer to the equinox! There's hope!

34 and sunny here. Yesterday morning was the first time the pond was a bit frozen.

The pond is frozen so soon??? Wow....

- So is my birdbath - shallow water exposed to windchill & night temps. (ie. a 1½ inch cover of ice in a 5 gallon bucket of water yesterday am.) I add warm water everyday so they [birds] have some H2O.

It's not frozen, Louise. Just some surface freezing in the AM.

47 and not bad in the sun though I was only out for 15 minutes.

DW raked the front yard today but the neighbors across have two 40' oaks that have 90% of the leaves still on them. -wouldnt 'ya know they're the only ones here who NEVER rake their leaves! :-(( I've got the back & sides to do this week, covered again with leaves... I'll be raking leaves into DEC!

That's what I hate about Oaks. Same with my neighbor. His is over 60'!

We have a freezing rain this morning. The temps are great ...
began at 28*, now up to 32*. Haven't seen temps this warm
in the early morning in a while. Could do without the freezing
rain, though, as the grandkids are bused to school and my
DD and her hubby both have to drive a ways to get to work.

We've had a strange, brief shower here the last two days. It was very odd this afternoon. I could see it raining in the front yard, but after it stopped, I took Molly outside and the rain line stopped right at our sidewalk. It was perfectly dry and the walkway up to our front door was wet. Go figure! It's so warm, the rain dries up very quickly.

40, cold and rain all day today.

Well lets just say I have been hibernating this week - it has been cold and miserable out there.....no way I am going out unless I need to. Ugh!

Funny - our Sunrise is almost the same - 6:57, but Sunset is 4:29. Very windy here today - 47 degrees.

Victor....sunset here is an hour later than where you are! Amazing, huh? I haven't checked to see the official sunrise/sunsets times here, but I'll have to do that. I remember those awful days of driving to work in the dark and home in the dark this time of year. I didn't like that at all.
