Low Light FRAGRANT House Plants?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi, can anyone tell me what could be used in a very small bathroom, that does have a window that gets some light, that would be extremely fragrant? Or is there even such a thing? Also, if there are any like this that wouldn't get any light unless the light is on? And something that would not need much TLC. Thanks! Misty

Someone else recently posted a very similar question on the Indoor Gardening & Houseplants forum, you might want to check out the responses over there. Although they were planning on putting in a fluorescent light of some sort over the plants, so if you can't do that then you're much more limited unless you get a good amount of light through your window. There are foliage plants that will grow in very little light, but most flowering ones need more light if you want them to flower.

Hi ecrane, the one with the window gets quite a bit of light, but I have a bathroom with no window at all. :( I will see about the other thread. As always, thanks! :)

well ,you old thing, you .do you sell, scents? i need to hook up with someone that can make my small brain understand why i order (for personal use) from 3 different people and get real bayberry, bay rum,and something spicy, but not bayberry? i'm not into candles so much as little scented sachets around my house.i'm 69 yrs old and have loads of experence in stuff like landscape design, construction, gold prospecting, bay fishing, and those girl things, like museum quality cross stitch.perhaps you need an answer to something i can help with.i really would like to purchase some good essential oil in bayberry.my husband says he likes it too

Hi Digger,
I don't sell any, but I have TONS! I will see if I have what you like. I went on an eBay "scent" spree and just about overloaded with them! LOL If I can find one you like I would be happy to make you some scented wax and send it to you! Let me know some more scents that you like because I would probably end up having at least one of them! HA HA HA

Well, we will hate you being gone so long, but I am sure you will enjoy your time in Texas! And you sure will have a heck of a time catching up on all that has happened here on DG being gone that long. I can't keep up now! :)
I will check my stock to see if I have any of either of those scents. Misty

Digger, I just went and bought one of the JRM! I only bought one because I am gonna try to propagate one and see what I can do with it! Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated!

oh,i hope you'r not disappointed in the size.it'll be awhile before it's big enough to do anything with. what did you get? it is almost nil to propagate a laceleaf unless you graft it to a stock tree.if you got the one i told you about, you can layer a branch on the ground next spring ,cut it loose following year, pot it up or plant it.while it's pinned to the ground be sure to keep it moist.i just read over my other post,i'm not going to turn off the computer 12-27 it will be 11-27. i'll be leaving in a week.don't know how much you know about jap map ,but be sure to let it go dormant.it will need to rest.i think we need to be on a different forum .it's bed time for me, goodnite, digger
