I bought a climbing shell plant this past spring and planted it in a pot. I brought in it for the winter and was wondering how to care for it inside. The leaves are beginning to turn yellow and fall off. Should I cut it back and let it rest for the fall or just leave it as it is?
Climbing Shell Plant Question
Hi Cinjane, can you give another name for your plant as I dont recognise that name, then maybe I or someone else could get back to you, but for now, since you have taken the plant indoors, try give it light without direct sunlight, water as it will be warmer indoors and keep an eye out for disease and aphids as you have quickly change it's growing conditions so fast, just till we can get back to you and perhaps give the best treatment for winter. Good Luck. WeeNel.
Hi, the other name for your plant is Vigna caracalla. It might be a tricky plant to keep in the house. I would put it in a East or West window. WeeNel is right about the insects, you must watch for them. Yes, you can cut it back. It should adjust in a few weeks. I also wish you the Best of Luck. Patty
Thanks to both of you for your help!
