Help with the name of a plant

Forest, VA

I do not have a picture of it but i will do my best to describe it. My grandma used to grow these flowers and she has Alzheimer's now and cannot remember the name of them. She grew them outside in the summer time I believe. They were a yellow flower, not very big.. the very cool thing about them is they would open up around sunset. We used to go over because you could sit and watch them open. They would begin to shake and than open up. The flower would be dead by morning. I live in the middle of Virginia if that helps to maybe identify where she used to grow them. If somebody could give me a name I would probably remember and know if it is right. I am interested in trying to grow them. I lost my grandpa two years ago and now my grandma's memory is fading.

Could it be Four o'Clocks??

It does sound like Four O'Clocks but I don't know about them beginning to shake before opening! Here's the link to Plant Files so you can check out some of the pic's and see if they bring back memories:

Could it be Oenothera triloba (Stemless Evening Primrose)?

I hadn't even thought about evening primrose .... and I bet that's what it is! These flowers do tremble according to what I've heard! Here's another yellow one in Plant Files:
