The FLOWERPOT Cafe' III - Join us for a cup of Flowers!

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Helllllllllllooooooooo???? Where's everyone today? Do I need to check the artisan's cafe? Off I go.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

I am here to take a shot of espresso, then back down to the garage I go! I have been trying to clean it up and organize it all day. Lost cause, really, if I have my say!

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Alrighty, I have made two petites for the tables. I hate my camera and these were done around 3 in the morning after being up for two days. Here ya go....

And the second. The only think in the photos I had to buy were the flowers. They did not come with any greenery. Can you believe that?

Thanks Taci, they are both lovely and add colour to the cafe'. Are the trays hand painted?
I'm so glad you found your camera cord!
I haven't seen Karma or Sharran have you?

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Nope I haven't. I got those from E-bay. There are five of them and sooo cute. I love Eastern Art. They aren't hand painted. Thanks for the compliment. I have a vase full of flowers and couldn't think of a thing to do, as I have no foam or wire. I have to get some!!! So this was all you get right now.

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

I'm here I'm here. Cute arrangements Traci! Isn't it wonderful to use things from your own garden? The yellowish green leaves look like euonymus. Don't worry about the foam or wire. Plop it in one of your pretty vases from your big collection of vases and let me seeeeee!

london England, United Kingdom

I'd like to see that collection too!

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Ok, but both of the little bitties I did are not even vases.

london England, United Kingdom

One looks like a glass, what is the other one?

It is a taper candle holder. lol. It is only 2" tall. That was a bugger. Also the first was a shot glass and you can see the blue rubber band holding it together. Too funny.

I am trying to muster up the energy to do an arrangement with my remainders. See you a couple of hours. Dragging myself to the vases and flowers

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Dying here. I have bought so many flowers and don't know WHAT to do. Still cleaning. Rundown of what I have
9 gerbers - 3 hot pink, 3 light pink, 3 white.
Spring bouquet flowers - Colors for Teensy's birthday.
2 fall bouquets

Fall upstairs, spring downstairs. Any size vase, lots of arrangements, on large with spring, HELP!!!!!!

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Hi Traci! Should have known it was you here in the early hours. These are the flowers that have been in your fridge all this time? Girl, you really went all out, didn't you? I'm so cheap at the moment. Every time I'm at the market, I hover over the flowers for a long time, and then decide, I could save my money on plants that will last longer than a week. Don't know what has gotten into me lately. I'm going to hang out here and see what Terri will come up for you. I'm going through flower arranger's block right now. . .actually for a while now.

london England, United Kingdom

HI Traci, rustle up a quick parallel with your gerbs, make a spring basket, it's hard to suggest without seeing your containers and you haven't got time to do that, so put the others in your huge vase! panic over, enjoy the party.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Just pulled my back out. Going to do the Karma 9. Try a several small vases. and one large. Was most important, but now I CAN'T MOVE!!

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Traci, you are going a mile a minute. I'm worried about you.

london England, United Kingdom

Yes, chill out, slow down!!!

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Sat down for the first time. Back is better, but won't be later. Sucking down a Red Bull, jumping in the shower, party is about to start and thinking about whacking mother over the head with a really big flower. I am ok guys, after this weekend-----------REST!!!!!!

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Hi all. Madness is OVER!! It has been a past two weeks from H@%. I madly threw these together, but am please with how they turned out. I even did the little bows. ME, who can't tie my shoes correctly. This one took the longest. Does it count as parallels? This was taken 4 hours later, so it is a little droopy. lol.

The stupid flowers did not come with hardly any greenery. This one has some monkey grass, which was all that it came with. These flowers aren't the same ones I bought. I went crazy the other night and bought many more, plus I got oasis, floral ribbon, picks, and clay. I lost my mind that night. lol.

The monkey grass doesn't show up well.

This one was on one of the tables. Do you think they will be ok in the cafe'? We could have an amateur area. lol. I had some ting ting, so I used it since no greenery.

Lastly, these are from my rose bush. I didn't realize when I took the pics that the top rose has revolved a bit and must have been moved, because it was lower than the purple "stuff". It was facing front more and not nearly as open. I had this is the downstairs bath.

This is Teensy and "her boys" All of our neighbors have boys, no girls. This was exactly the way I grew up. She is going to be a tomboy. lol.

Teensy in her 3 point stance to play some football......American style. lol.

Finally, I have to brag on my nephew. He is 14. He shot up over the summer as he was shorter than me at the beginning. I am 5'3". He is sooo hansome and an all around fantastic kid. Oh, that's me beside him. lol.

One more thing. These are the left overs. I am going to play with them soon, I hope. They have the ones I bought earlier in the week. Looking puny, but something to work with.

I will try to get a pic of my containers so ya'll can give me some suggestions. Hint Hint.

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Woooohoooo Traci. . .great arrangements! Thanks for sharing all those pics. Love the gerber arrangement with the cute bows. . .perfect for Teensy. The bouquet with the tiing ting looks professional. Great form and proportion. But of course my favorite is the rose one. First because I love roses and 2nd, it's so simple and elegant. Blue and yellow go together beautifully. Awesome job Traci. Do you know the name of your rose? I want that one. So now, you are going to rest? Some reason, I find that very hard to believe.

Off topic Traci, since I'm here, the larkspur seeds I have for you are not blue. They're a mixture of pinks and purples. Do you still want them? Sorry to get you excited, I didn't know you were looking specifically for blue. If I run into them, I will get them for you.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

I would love any larkspur. They are beautiful flowers. Pinks and purples are great. I really appreciate you sending them.

Wow, thanks for the comments on the arrangements. I wanted to do sooo much more with them, but ran out of time completely. I am going to HOPEFULLY have some time to play around a bit.

Where's Terri today?

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

No big deal with the larkspur Traci. That is the least I could do. What seeds would you die over? I'll see if I have any.

Have no idea where Terri is. Exploring DG?

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Seeds to die over? I am so new, I really don't know. I will have to think on that. The main one is the Blue Delphinium. Because it is so elusive, I want more. lol.

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

You know, I think I saw belladonna delphinium at kmart. Will check for you. . .going there tomorrow anyway.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

That would be fantastic. I thought of others too. ALL OF YOURS!! Hahaha. I can't wait to finally get to meet at the RU.
