I went to the Olde Towne Taverne last night. we savoured the flavour of their labour.
Some good friends from other forums...
Which is????
Youu shouuld really gou to Ye Olde Towne Grog if youu are in the area.
Dave's mixed up again! The rhyming thread was Harper's 2nd birthday one.
Did I miss Harper's 2nd birthday? I must be on the wrong thread too.
It was about 37 years ago - I think before DG.
aw, Victor, why do you always make me laugh?
BDG? Maybe I wasn't even born yet.
Thanks Deb. Should we measure time now as BDG, Al??
Sure, that makes me 35 BDG.
I was born in 37BDG.
46 BDG
By the way, anyone see American Gardner. I opened it for the winter flowering shrubs but I stayed for the article on Dave
Yes it was posted, Dave. I hadn't yet opened mine when I saw the post yesterday AM.
Is that AM BDG time, or not?
(Gawd, I've missed so much! You people hop around from thread to thread - should leave a hyperlink to where you're going next!)
(xx, Carrie)

PS Victor, where is it posted? (The article on Dave) (Thedave I assume, not our Dave47)
(xx, Carrie)
No article on Mr. 47 yet? Come on Dave - you need to try harder.
I guess having founded and sold Linux Today, he never needs to consider going back to just computering again. Gawd, I'm so cynical. What a sad case. (Me, I mean.) He's a happy guy and he's made millions(?) of us happier. i think I'm just cynical in general today. Thanks for the link, Victor. :>)
xxx, Carrie
Wasn't that a good article?
I learn more and more every day about the people who love Dave's Garden!
And he is only a baby!
Somehow i find it disconcerting - and a bit depressing - that The Dave is younger than i am.
i guess i am at that awkward age where that is going to happen more and more.
sigh.
Get used to it! One of my 'Oh crap!' moments was when I first noticed most of the pro athletes I watch were younger than me.
How come you are always at that awkward age Amy ;)
hi al!
i've been meaning to write to you about grass. but perhaps this isn't the right thread.
ixna on the grassna
No that would be on the medicinal plants forum.
heehhee.
but i thought you'd be the guy to ask (from looking thru PF that is...)
because i think that may be just what i need for an area i just haven't been able to figure out what to do about!
Oh - Ornamentals?!
Ask away. For the record - the prescription pot Simpson's was one of my favorites.
Medicinal THC is actually useful for MS - but it's illegal. Man, if ever I decided to go into Medicaid fraud big time, I would start by selling the contents of my medicine cabinet. (It actually outgrew the medicine cabinet a long time ago.) It bothers me that you can't buy decongestants any more! But i spend way too much time thinking about pharmaceuticals. Legal ones. xx, Carrie
I could recite this verbatim
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qKxn6zZV1s
A very good read is a book called Mom's Marijuana. It is written by Dan Shapiro, a doctor who had cancer, and used pot for medicinal purposes, and his mom grew it for him. He spoke at a celebration for nurse's week, and he was outstanding. Of course he made me cry. Listening to him tell some of the stories was better than reading the book, but it was still a good book.
I just don't want to smoke ANYTHING! A pill that reduced the pain and relaxed the stiffness away doesn't sound bad at all, though. My neurologist was in favor of legalizing THC for medicinal use, but he retired. x, C
for the record - i really was just talking about ornamental grass to hide an unsightly area near my garden.
(but this is more fun.)
; )
Amy, What's the question?
We're suppose to be talking about friends from other forums, or is this the nonsense thread? x, C
Speaking as a friend from another forum, I've noticed with great delight that most of the threads here are nonsense threads.
Yes they are, Zuzu - and you're welcome to add to the zaniness at any time!
Zuzu:
There are just as many twists and turns in our NEG threads as there are hills and valleys in our region. We wouldn't have it any other way, for sure! We have so many marvelous and adventuresome paths from which to choose.
Ain't life grand? Look at all we offer to our 'adopted' NEGers like yourself. Enjoy!
Zuzu went to Fordham so she has earned her New York and Northeast right to join us.
