O.K. Since getting into this garden addiction recently..I have pretended to know more than I actually do. You understand...saving face? But when hubby brings me a bucket full of coffee grinds....in full support of my gardening efforts....how could I tell him.....I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM!!! I know he said to place them around my plants....but which ones...indoor or out.....and why????? So I turn to the most knowledgable source I know....Please help me save face (before he comes home) can you tell me the ins and outs of this (good?) treatment?
HELP PLEASE! I JUST DON'T KNOW
Coffee grounds are super! Just spread them around your outdoor plants, the worms love coffee grounds and their "poop" really enriches the soil I usually use watered down coffee on my houseplants, so I would assume the grounds would work the same way.
Since hubby is being so helpful, maybe y'all need to start a compost bin. That's black gold and great for your plants and the environment.
Thank you! Thank you! You have saved my day. I will get right on it!!!!
No problem, I'm in love with the local Starbuck's manager, cause I get all their coffee grounds for my compost bins! Can't beat free! LOL
coffee grounds are acidic so a lot of plants like a slightly acidic soil; hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, and so on.....
Thank you..I knew yall would not let me down! what about ee"s...would they like it too?
Worms love coffee grounds and shredded newspaper. If you got worms, your making your soil richer and more porous, which of course makes your plants do better. Coffee ground will work anywhere.
