It's probably been sold as most stolen goods are. I'm just glad nobody was hurt or confronted by the brazen thief/thieves.
Water Cooler 2
Thanks, Harper and Arlene........you have to keep it in perspective. Imagine the awful life the thief must have.....I wouldn't trade places!
I hope this tip I read on an email is one you'll never have to use but it's good to know:
Keep your car key fob on your night table and if you hear an intruder press the alarm button. It should frighten off any intruder and will arouse the neighbors who, hopefully, will call the police pronto.
I read that one too, and always do it when I'm alone at the farm in NH because it is pretty remote. The problem here is the Cruiser doesn't have an alarm system. LOL! We're driving my car down after Christmas with my son, so that may be a good thing to do then. Thankfully, too, the neighbors on our street are the good kind of "nosy neighbors"....meaning that they stop and ask strange people what they are doing at someone's house etc. if things look out of the ordinary. We all just take that in stride and so do the legit. workmen who come and go. It's the middle of the night visits that are the problem!
Louise - so sorry you have been robbed again!! We've never experienced our home being robbed but it must be horrible having someone go through your things and then take items that are precious to you!! Take care!! Eleanor
p.s. - maybe your snake can chase them away!!
Was it at night? Get a motion sensitive light. At least it might wake up the nosy neighbors!
Great perspective Louise!
Isn't it great when the kiddos learn to read? For my first few posts this morning I had my first-grader DGD over my shoulder reading what I was writing. So, I had to be very careful about my words.
Yep. At that point, you can't spell out what you don't want them to know about, either... no more secrets.
That's the very hard, and rather sad, part of seeing them grow up.
Here's a cute story from yesterday:
She got her very first love letter from a classmate. Actually, it was more like a book! The gentleman in question had stapled four of his crayola 'Color Explosion' papers together to create this missive for her. It had 'I Love You' on every page, except the last which had 'fin'. I thought that was rather intelligent of him!
But the cute part was little Taelar's response when her big sister teased her about having a boyfriend. Little "T" said ... "No. I don't have a boyfriend. He has a girlfriend!" Now there's proper perspective!!!
In some districts, the boy would be brought up on charges! No kidding.
I know, Victor. And isn't it so sad?
ooh. i like the "fin"! seems more like it shoulda been B&W though...
Cute!
ohhhh ...
so sweet!
Cute love stories from all! Candyce....Taelar is one "with it" little Cookie!! She'll be writing books on relationships by 8th grade!!! LOL My son had a cute little girl friend named Karrie in first grade. I took them to see the first Star Wars........what fun. My first boyfriend, George, shyly walked by my desk and set a little bottle of shaving lotion on my desk one day. His mother was an Avon Lady, and he told me she had run out of perfume samples. LOL There's a road here named after his family, and I smile every time I pass it.
how sweet
I used to walk to first grade holding hands with a Debbie! She was history by second grade though.
My kindergarden boyfriend was named Tommy Pigg. I wonder where his is now . . .
awww - Victor

Major capitalist?
With a name like that?
Victor - your are cruisin' tonight! What did you have for dinner? Brain food? I know you don't like fish!
Cooking dinner now.
Hot dogs and macaroni???
What do you take me for?!! Roasted boneless chicken with my home-grown red peppers (the last of them), potatoes and carrots. Chicken prepared with lemon juice, garlic and smoked paprika. Then, all gets drizzled with olive oil.

Good idea Louise! I think that's what we'll have tonight.
Victor, am I invited? Sounds wonderful.
Better head out now...
Man, a quick wit AND a gourmet cook........Lucky Mrs VG!!
I think one of my favorite flavors is rosemary and olive oil.
No, wait. I got a better idea! Hey Victor! Make room, we're coming over for dinner. I'll bring the wine!
Those are two of my favorite people!
Hardly a gourmet! Big-time newbie.
Harper if you have the wine, I'll leave the kids with the neighbors and be over in a few!
You got it! I'll make it two bottles then. Our kids can play together.
Yankee, If you played your cards right, you could have been Mrs. Pigg!
It would have been unfair - people would have made fun of her for her name -and not the other reasons.
Al!
I was wondering why Victor was online last night during the dinner hour! We had leftovers (not a hint of anything Thanksgiving in them) last night, so while I warmed up plates of home made mac and cheese ... sliced ham, mashed potatoes and carrots and peas ... a bowl of home made beef stew ... in the microwave, I was checking out the DG activity.
Tonight's fare will be Caramelized Chicken, a bit more timely to create, so I may not get a DG Peek at dinner time.
