So glad your great granbaby is doing better.

I would love the goat soap, and the tall fuschia echinacea seeds. I love snowflakes, snowballs, icicles anything that is sparkly and is a reminder that winter can be beautiful when you are in a warm climate and don't have to shovel.

A reminder to karmaplace, granny3, fran 530, and hillbilly-gran, If you want the Danish birthday gift you have to post or dmail with what you would like to have, Dutch Iris, drumstick allium, or Love mist (Nigella damascena). I am just waiting on your answer so I can send in my seeds.

Pupil, Teensy is adorable in her cute garden witch outfit, but what happened to the date? Can she cast spells and move time forward a month? Love the shoes.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

drumstick allium for me.... I must have missed something, I'll have to go back and reread... a Danish Birthday gift huh????

Fran

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Thanks for the dmail mittsy. I'm sorry, I can't keep up with conversations that involve more than 2 people. . .and harder to keep up if I can't reply immediately. I would like the Dutch Iris please. And I haven't forgotten to decorate one pack birthday style though. What's your favorite color?

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Gotcha for the Dutch Iris. My favorite color is teal or aqua.

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

I would like the dutch iris too. I too am easy-- anything plant related--garden related also have a thing for neat little notebooks and little envelopes-- go figure--the stationery aisle is my favorite place--after the garden dept. Robbi-- I would love some echinacea!!

Come on....more wants/favorites for the secret santa-or Santa may just send coal-LOL

Rockaway, NJ(Zone 6a)

... with the price of oil skyrocketing, coal might be nice. *chuckle*

I want veggies and fruits! In seed form preferably, but I'll even take dried-out old veggies. My friends are starting to think I'm _really weird_, because I take their old veggies and say "I'll just de-seed it and throw the rest out" LOL

I had to dig up my wrapping paper, or I'd have sent already. Will get to work on it tonight.

-Sev

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Robbi I would love some of both too :o)

The great grandbaby is doing great, she is getting more alert of everything around her :o) My daughter finally got to give her a bath tonight, she was in heaven lol...

Posting your likes and wants is fine by me...

I have been cleaning all day, Got Keirsten & the babys room all washed down and dust free... Now the rest of my house looks like a tornado has went thru it... So will be doing alot of cleaning the next few days... Boy I am tired just thinking about it rofl :o)

You all have a great night,

Connie

Jacumba, CA(Zone 8b)

Do the seeds have to be ones that can be winter sown? Also, do they need to be labeled on the outside of the wrapping? I have mine labeled with all the info already so I am wrapping them and the recipient will see what they are when they open it. I will let Connie know what they are but don't want to relabel them!

Dear Santa,

I've been a very good girl this year (most of the time) well (some of the time), Heck NOT AT ALL.

I love snowmen, dragonflies, windchimes and birdhouses, Santas, gardening supplies and of course seeds. Any thing that would be outdoorsy, too. I'm easy, anything would do.

One of my wants for seeds is peony poppies or Gaura - whirlibirds.

later

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

No the seeds don't have to be just WSing types.
Sounds good Karen...

Some of the seeds I want (am looking for) are all kinds of the Lobelia, impatients, green apples columbine, all colors sweet peas, the yellow jacobs ladder, cleome lutea (yellow cleome), Celosia Flamingo Feather, all broken color 4 O'clocks, Eau De Cologne Flowering Tobacco, All color Gazanias, Dwarf red ensign Morning Glories, Phlox all colors, orange scented thyme, Zinia Red Spider, Geum 'Blazing Sunset', Gaillardia 'Dwarf Goblin', Hibiscus White Flower type.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Here's a few things I'd like to see.
As far as gifts, diamond earrings for me.
If that is not possible to do,
Any gardening supplies, even poo.
Pots for cuttings would be grand
Or maybe even a plant stand.

Flowers I like, lets see, all blue.
I am dying for some delphinium too.
I would love some ground cover for my beds.
My favorite are those that make flower heads.
Medium and short heighth I have none.
Please know I have lots of full sun.
Colors of reds, yellows, purples too
I want to have a flower zoo!!

I really need to go to bed.

Rockaway, NJ(Zone 6a)

Oh, my aching head.

>;)

Nelson, NH(Zone 5a)

What wonderful poets. I'm racking my brain a little-and nothing is coming!(perhaps it is the hour) While I am a late night person, my logical brain stops working quite early in the day, but the creative side-oh, now that's just getting started! This is the time when my two boys are in bed and Kath-THE ARTIST-goes to her studio to paint!. It is a lovely time and off I go. Maybe I will have some logical thoughts tomorrow, but if not I'll just be happy with whatever generosity comes my way!-Kath

Mittsy
Deepest apologies My thinker is on a permanent blinker, I am afraid...D iris or the mist one would be
fine with me . I am so sorry I've held you up.
Congrats on your forthcoming 65th. For my 65th
my son sent tickets to the 2 other kids (1 from VA, one from Calif). When they arrived at my door I didn't know who they were at first. I recognized the son after about 10 seconds but whispered in his ear who was this girl that was trying to hug me. It was my daughter whom I hadn't seen in 7 years.
This past Oct. was my 77th...my VA son was here for it. My daughter and the son I live by and I will celebrate hers and mine late as she and hubby are flying in tomorrow.
I wish you many many more happy years of health and happiness. Fondly...gammy3

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

I saw a T-Shirt yesterday while out shopping:
Dear Santa, .. .. .. Let me explain

Too funny.

I too am an easy to buy for, anything garden makes me happy. My plan for next year is to make a fairy garden, so anything miniture would work well.
As for seeds, I am ignoring my mortality and giving a go at tree seeds. I have never tried them before and seed to full grown is about 30 years.. lol, I, someday will post pics of me sitting under one of my baby trees.
Other than that, again, I am easy. I find trades to be SO cool, I usually end up with something I would never buy and suprise myself by loving it.
Fran

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

pupil, poop on they way.

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

fran530, Would you like to have a lime seedling? You could grow it in a pot for many many years? I wouldn't ship until spring when i send jordankittyjo's out. It's like the adopt a tree program. I plant the seeds and grow them up and then ship off before we leave Fl for our trip up north .

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

Mittsy, I saw one at the daylily farm we visited this summer, it was so cool with its little limes... I would love to try a seedling, Hopefully they winter indoors well.

Rockaway, NJ(Zone 6a)

Mittsy, could I put in for a key lime myself? I very nearly spent a good chunk of change to buy one today. My mother used to make the most amazing Key Lime Pie, and I MISS that! She lost her limetree in hurricane Diana, when I was a kid, and I haven't had real Key Limes since.

-Sev

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

fran530 and sev, I gotcha covered on the key limes. I give all my potted babies to neighbors and friends to care for when I am AWAY up north for the summer. I just got one back that I had forgotten all about. I had stuck a half dozen key lime seeds in it March of 2007. Well they must have all rooted because I have six more little seedlings.

Mittsy, If you don't have anyone else in mind-I would love a key lime as well. We have floor to ceiling passive solar windows-so it's winters wouldn't be so shabby! Let me know-Kath

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

flowerhead410 I have you down for a key lime, too.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

You've been bad,
so here's the scoop,

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

LOL, I love it!

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Stupid question. . .if I bought packs of seeds, do I have to open them to count how many seeds are in there?

Lana

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Lana, no you don't have to count them, I had bought some seeds from T&M and one of them had 2 pks in it, I kept one for myself and traded the other one. have no clue how many seeds was in it... I will open mine when I get ready to start my WSing...

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Should I list the seeds I have or is this supposed to be a surprise? Thanks

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

I use 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch plastic zip bags write the name on it or a piece of paper, I print out some decorative seed pks and place the bags in it and write the name on them too. but to list on here is not neccessary... Only if you have extra seeds that you want to get rid of, to see if any one here wants them, if they do you write there # on it and I will put it in there envelope. :o)

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Thanks Donna.

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Is it hard to keep a key lime going if you don't have a greenhouse? I don't have many sunny locations in the house. But I would love to try one.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Mittsy keep me in mind when you start shipping them out ;-) Would love to give this a try...

Lana, for got to say, the only stupid question, is the one not asked :o)

Connie

Nelson, NH(Zone 5a)

Robbie- I would love some of the ech. and laurel seeds as well. Are the cones rosey-purple on those?-just curious.
As for surprise seeds I would like unusual seeds (this is certainly subjective-but I'm game for that) or any TALL delphiniums or any zone hardy (zone 5a) alpine plants. I just love little cuties!

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

Not sure about the cones-I started my own company gardening and at a client's house they had huge echinacea seed heads all dried out-there was one flower left in a bed of hundreds...My eyes popped out of my head and I admit-I drooled a little as I cut each and every plant down for the winter-many MANY of those heads ended up in my tool bucket-LOL, the woman I was training into the company thought I was nuts and I think I was a bit, shall we say giddy?, but I was dancing around the yard and singing my seed tune-"this one for me, this one to trade, this one for a round up, la la la la tra la la :o)
No joke, I sing that whenever I get lucky-in the garden that is.

OK-way to much info-the answer is I have NO CLUE what color the conehead was-LOL
Nite all-Robbi

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

And you laughed at my poem. You are just as nuts as I am.

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Morning all,
I still can't get over the fact that clients are willing to pay me to take away such wonderful stuff. I feel bad taking their checks sometimes as I know I have more than enough value in the "weeds" I am removing and taking home to share.

Robynznest and pepsidrinker have added you both to key lime list.
