Fall or Spring?

This is growing in my garden right now. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Anyone else have Spring bulbs coming up now?

Yes. I have many spring bulbs emerging already: Dutch iris, Tritonia, Paperwhites, Freesia, Spiraxis, and Watsonia. This happened last year as well at this time, but they bloomed at their normal times. That's really unusual for Daffodils to be blooming now !

wow-- a reblooming daffodil--I never seen one. (I hope it will bloom again in spring) It 's a very nice surprise blessing for you ! (smile)

Daffodils do bloom every year, mine have been blooming over 20 years and increase themselves (naturalising it is called) never had them bloom this early but I guess like all growing things, there are always exceptions to the rule, just enjoy, after flowering, deadhead, let the foliage die down naturally and feed it so it can build up energy for flowering next year, Happy gardening WeeNel.

They bloom every year- but what she said is that they bloomed spring and fall. That never happened for me--only spring. But to have a flower again in fall is a nice blessing.

Weirder things have happened. Including the weather these days. If this is the worst of it then Woo Hoo! I say.

I had posted something a few months ago because all my spring bulbs were sprouting. Someone said that with the weird weather we're having there have been a lot of spring bulbs sprouting. They said they had read something about it in the paper that a local zoo or garden or something was having a lot of things sprouting prematurely. They also said it happened last year to them, and that they still bloomed in the spring as well. None of mine have bloomed though, just foliage.

cand, did it blom this past spring?? I have seen leaves come up early on may things, and have even had a hyacinth bloom in the garden in December, but never a daffodil in October! I did have some Golden Rain tazettas bloom every January for 4 years straight and then it would freeze and they were toast and looked terrible, so I finally pulled them....but they never bloomed at any other time.

Oh! Blooms in January would be heaven! LOL

Wouldn't it be great to have different flowers to bloom every month of the year !!

(Zone 7a)

Absolutely! LOL

Yes it bloomed in the Spring also. I have many daffodils planted in different areas so I will mark this spot this fall and see if it will bloom again next Spring. Thanks everyone for the replies.
