I was wondering if I should cut back the foliage on my Glads before frost
This is my first year growing them and I would like to see them come back next year
Thanks for your help!

Glads - how to Winter in NJ
Typically you should leave the foliage on until it dies back, that's how the bulb gets energy for next year. But I'm not sure what zone you're in or what zone glads are hardy to, you may need to dig them up for the winter and store them. If you have to do that I'd cut back the foliage when you dig them up.
I think you have too cold a winter to keep the Glad's outside for the winter, so lift them out the soil, keep the foliage on, tie them into bundles and hang them up somewhere cool till all the foliage starts to resemble straw, (brown and dry) then you gently tug the bulbs away from the foliage and you can store the bulbs dry and cool till next spring when planting time is right, if you have different colours and you like to keep them to a colour scheme, then you need to tie them into colours and label the bulbs as such, you will find tiny baby bulb-lets on the parent bulbs, the size of a small pea, you can pot these up and care for them for about 3 years till the reach flowering size, also at the base of each bulb you will find a small hard OLD bulb, you can twist this off when you are ready to store the bulbs, it is a spot where you can get rot set into the bulbs if left on, good luck, WeeNel.
Thank you all for your advice! : )
Mine keep coming back and I haven't ever mulched them or anything, must be lucky I guess.
Guess what?! I took a chance and I left them in and all of them came back! Thanks to all for your advice!
