ceeda give us a link to the thread about your trees please.
;)
My series of periods is being reduced to a single period!
Might be tough, It was an exchange between Weez and I during this oh so long thread of "No prayers please, just goodbye.... but she did post some pics of the trees and I explained them them, happy thread searching.. LOL Easy to scroll down and only stop at pics, although a lot of people sent upside down sleeping puppy pics.
Carol
Did Weeze start it?
No, it's in this thread, but Weez posted the pic and logo.
I meant to say it's in the Parking Lot Forum, Thread entitled, "No prayers please, just goodbye..."

I came to see how this topic is progressing and I thought I had landed in the wrong place. This is the Dave's Garden Forum, isn't it? What happened to the topic?
Haha, LOL
I was so officially Hy-jacked that I just rolled over!
;)
Well, I've always been a "place for everything and everything in its place" sort of person. Otherwise I get confused too easily.
Just love this thread. lol
Sugar, I can't imagine you rolling over!
LMBO!!
Whose thread doesn't get hijacked? This is the fun of DG!
Some of us are just 'fly by the seat of our pants' sort of people. (LOL)
hA!
LOL Dyson!!

Read this article on the use of ellipsis this morning and thought of this thread:
http://www.dailywritingtips.com/the-elusive-ellipsis/
Ellipsis resurgam!
(When I leave something out, I shall rise.)
;-)
Raydio rises like dough (and his Hippeastrums) light and Flowery (floury) LOL! KK.
:-)))
Sugarweed,
Sorry for the hijack, but I can't find Pupil often enough, so I just jumped in and tried to be as brief as possible.
As far as the taking up space topic went, I try to keep my lines to (9?) or what ever my left side info adds up to. I see that Uber and Admin. have plenty of white space, but they usually have more info to fill it up.
Carol
Hiya, Carol! My apologies, haven't been to the good thread in
a bit. Hope you are sassy and happy. I'll be over to see you soon.
:-) Stay warm!
Karen Marie
Hi Karen Marie, feelin' good, talking chickens and compost, playing pool and pinball, suprising doctors ( I just love that) (How come you're still walkin' 'n talkin'?), "The Good Thread", huh. Playin' me up are you ... LOL
Carol
I'm just a little behind. I just found this thread!
Ok, I confess ... I am probably the worst person at using many, many, many dots when I post! After reading this thread I will be thinking about every word I type and I will try ot to take up so much space! I will also try to use better grammar. I say Y'all ( you all) and dont'cha (don't you) and gonna/gunna (going to) and gimme (give me) and gotta (got to). LOL. It's really not bad spelling, it's just the way I talk, ya know - it's the southern accent.
.....,,,,,,,!!!! (5 dots, 7 commas and 4 exclamation marks) Oh, and I'm blonde too!
Plantladylin- I was 28 years old with a grad school degree before a friend explained to me that "fix'in to" wasn't really a word. Needless to say, I was a little shocked and embarrassed! It hasn't stopped the way I talk though. ;-)
daisy, where are you originally from?
LOL Daisy, I also say "fix'in to"! You must be from the south if you use that phrase.
I'm now fixin to get outta here to go to the grocery store!
New Mexico and Texas :-D
My Grandmother (from Texas but transplanted to NM) said all sorts of stuff that I find myself saying such as "pull that door to" and "why don't ya'll get down out of the car and come on in" and "Hug my neck".
bless your heart.
We Southerners do have our own speak, don't we? I know a lady in Tennessee who calls everyone "Sugar". And, I have a friend here who is originally from Kentucky who calls everyone "Hon". I've always used the term "Sweetie".
And, "Bless Your Heart" is heard a lot down here.
Well, I'm fixin to go down yonder and order me some of that there cake. Ya wanna join me? It's just a piece down the road. Ya know, right by the old saw mill that burnt down five years ago. It's so good ya'll be grinnin' like a mule eating saw grass, darlin'. I'm tellin' ya, it is fine as frogs hair.
Now ... That's Southern!
;^)
My Great Auntie always said "Bless yore lil pea pickin' heart" Never did figure out what that was supposed to mean but she always said it in a friendly way so it must have been well intended.
I love living in The South, though I'm in the upper limits, and the language is one thing that makes me smile.
Like when people "who aren't from here" have no idea what "summers o'vair" means.
R.
still ain't quite here in texas. lol.
I'll bite, raydio. What does "summers o'vair" mean?
It's a response to a question like "Where are they?".
My Gurgle translator says that in other areas of the country, this phrase is equivalent to "Somewhere over there."
:-)
Everyone up North calls us Southerners and the Southerners calls us Yankees. LOL. Haven't heard anyone come up with a catchy name for us yet.
hmmmm ... I was born and raised and have lived in the south all my life and I've never heard that saying: "summers o'vair"! I had no clue what it meant either! I was born in Virginia but have been in Florida for 40 years. I think there are just different "sayings" in different areas, even in the south!
I too have heard the one: "Bless your pea pickin li'l heart"! I think that saying must have originated with folks who picked peas for a living?! Nowadays I just hear (and say) "Well, Bless your heart".
I have a niece in Georgia who always teased me and my mother (her grandmother) about pronouncing the word wash as (warsh). My mom was born in Washington D.C. and we've always pronounced it as warshington. I never realized how I was pronouncing it until I said something about going to warsh my hair and my niece started copying and teasing me. She said y'all also say warshington too! I've told my niece I will try and do better because she is correct that there is no "r" in the spelling so I guess we shouldn't add it in the pronunciation! Her mother is my youngest sister and she laughs at us too. She uses the correct pronunciation.
