I've had this pretty little bamboo for around 4 years. The first 2 it was in a spot with not enough sun to help it grow, although it stayed pretty. After moving to a different location, in 2 more years it has grown way too tall for its container - which is just a vase with marbles and water in it.
Can anyone let me know what to do now? Can it be pruned and the cutting rooted or planted? Or what? - - Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Shirley
Bamboo plant is getting too tall!
I would post your question in the "Beginner Houseplants" forum. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/b_houseplants/all/ This forum is just for questions about the Plant Files database, so you'll get a lot more answers to your question over there.
Also, this may help you--your plant is not really a bamboo, it's a Dracaena. They're sometimes called "lucky bamboo" but they're not related to bamboo at all.
