I traded for a bunch of daylilies this fall and winter. I have started about 400 or so of them. I start a tray about once a week. Well I have about 250 of them up. They are all under lights. The problem/question I have is this.
11 of the daylilies that have come up are creamy white. They are growing at the same rate as the green ones and they look really good. The lighting is not an issue as they are coming up in different locactions in the trays. I have even moved their postions around under the light, no change. I know that most varigated plants don't come true from seed. Could they be from a varigated daylily? And some reverted to green some to the cream color? Is there such a thing as a varigated daylily. I remember reading something about this a long time ago but I can't remember what they had to say. BTW all of the daylilies are doing very well.
Ideas?
