I have looked everywhere, but can't find any place where it offers me the chance to delete old posts I've started, or answered. How do you delete? I see, quit watching, skip to new, remove from favorites etc but no delete.
So dumb, I put off asking for too long : deleting prior post
There is no delete.
That explains it, thank you
You could go to 'edit' which should be on the left under your name to the post you want to delete. when the edit screen comes out, take out everything you don't want. Then resend the post back to the thread.
This will leave an empty post with a statement that it was edited and the date.
Unfortunately, it is the nature of language that once it comes out of your mouth it can't be erased. Writing, usually, can be erased.
Thank Goodness.

I'd encourage you to leave as much of your post there as possible though so that people who come along later to read the thread will be able to follow the discussion, when a post in the middle of a thread has its contents deleted, it may make it so that parts of the thread are confusing. Of course if you did something like post personal info that you really didn't want to, or used a swear word or something that's against the site policy then by all means edit out that part!
