Morning Glories 2007 #29

Mesilla Park, NM

Gosh, Karen, I wish I could get those two color combinations in a quilt. They go together perfect.

Thanks on that last one, I never get over to the other side of the yard to take photos of this lighter Sazanami, but it was there today and I had the camera.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Nice A, I love the first one!!!

Karen love yours too, nice combination!!

Ronnie, are those indoors now or are you still having them outdoors?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Outside still Beth, waiting on seeds...I am starting seeds this weekend for the insiders...Later than I wanted to but time just gets away from me...

scio, oregon, OR(Zone 8a)

Our weather is still warm but the rain has returned and my blooms are getting a pounding. I've got most of mine in and will bring the rest in this weekend.

And this one. I had to use my sisters camera, and I guess I don't know how to use it as well as I do mine . . . it looks ok small, but I'm sure it'll be fuzzy enlarged . . . but it caught my eye first thing.

A - what sunshiny colors!! Is that Ipomoea sloteri?

Mesilla Park, NM

Hi Chantell, yes, I. Sloteri "Apricot Candy".. I'll have to crop some of the other photos, finally, "I know how to Crop" lol..

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Ummm...if ya get extra seeds of that one, let me know. Still waiting for those pods to ripen of the ones I'm sending you. I've got 4 so far...LOL

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Karla - LOVE ... LOVE .... this one!!! WOW! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4051893

I agree we need to do some serious trading here folks! I see so many beauties that I would absolutely enjoy growing!! Mine, too, are making seeds and several of you are already on my list for trading some of what I have for some of what you have! :-) Some of my vines have numerous seed pods, but some very few. I have one vine that only has a single seed pod on the entire vine! It's growth has also slowed down. What a bummer ..... as I was going to try hand pollinating that one!

A - I just love your little I. Sloteri "Apricot Candy". I actually like the smaller blooms too! I have Cardinal Climber and Cypress vine, but your orange one is so cute! Is that one that Emma shared with you? Would love a couple of seeds of that one if you get seeds you can share from your vine.

Greenwich, OH

We need to do some mg seed trading for sure.I will try to have a list up within a couple of weeks.
The kanako won't set seed in time. Most of my mg seeds are mixes and some aren't mixes.
So many beautiful!mg's to try growing. The wedding bells are one of my favorites!Mine never set seed in time.Always on the look out for wedding bells mg seeds.I love!the lavender color.

Mesilla Park, NM

Well, one thing is for sure, those seedpods take their sweet time..

Chantell and guys, will do, Yes, the sloteri Apricot Candy is from Emma, aren't they neat, the first three seeds germinated and then they got wilt (my bad)... the last three did great and just started blooming, I'll bring them inside to make sure we get seeds guys. It's got more buds too. I am going to put a thermameter out in both MG sections just to see what is happening at night and how low we are getting.

Skimper you need to take that one inside or build it a wall, you can use bales of hay or like I do, stack several sacks of potting soil in block squares, that makes a nice wall for them..

A.

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Ronnie, I don't know what those are. They weren't in anything I planted, so I have no idea. They just came up that way. I've tagged them, so if I have seeds I can try to grow them out again next year.

Gourd, how did you get your red one to photograph so nicely? I'm still trying to get my yellow one not to be fuzzy, and I just can't seem to do it!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Finally got a photo of my newest blooming MG ...... Rebecca! And she is a beaut! Love it!

The color of this blue is a sky blue! Who wouldn't love this one?! Fuji no Sora.

Youjiro Yagumura is a very pristine bloom. Rarely gets torn or damaged until after the bloom begins to fade. :-)

Lady Laura "Pink Form". What do all these have in common ..... hues of pink! :-)

Morning Storm. This is actually a darker color, but the camera tries to define it as this deep blue.

Another one that I just love ..... Plum Shadows!

Purple tie-dye. (No pink in this one! lol)

That's all from me today! Sorry to see this thread slowing down. :-(

I spent an hour adding all these grow-outs from the August 1st starts into my DG Garden Diary for photo references for trades. That way if my computer crashes, the photos are still listed somewhere. (I know how Murphy's Law can be! ugh) Of course, who knows which seeds will grow back true and which may have crossed since all seed pods are sport. Bees have been happy this year! :-) :-) :-)
