ROYAL MAJESTY

Any guesses on what this is . . .
Or - is this another NEW MG ???

AKATSUKI TSUYU

First Bloom. Taken around 9:30 and not enough time to change color and this looked more Lavender to me.
Will see how the next blooms look

Oh, Emma - I love the color on ROYAL MAJESTY!

Here is the only bloom I've had to share for a week. This is from the third vine of SOH-Maybe from LoneStar Seed Co. Definitely not SOH, but the color is closer!

Thank you Syrumani -

I have only recently learned about Lone Star Seed Co. and need to see if they have distributors in my area next year. Pretty Bloom.

Ok...so I was "suppose" to be watching my son's baseball game - when I saw these adorable blue little MG's (bloom size maybe a tad bigger then a quarter)

When he wasn't batting or in the out field...I was snatching MG seeds...here's the pics of the seeds. They're shaped like orange segments instead of being round. There might have been two types...as a few pods I saw looked a bit different. All previous seed I'd collected had 4 seeds per pod...these had between 6 and 8...very interesting.

Chantell . . .

Looks like you have Ipomoea hederacea
Ron can tell you much more about this plant.
The bloom you are showing is a very nice Dark Color.
Very Pretty

Oh Emma I ♥ ROYAL MAJESTY!! Your white one does look like it wants to be lavender.

Syrumani I like your not SOH!

Chantell I agree with Emma on the hederacea, Ron ID mine last year. I have it coming up in a few spots, not to invasive yet!!! I like it!!!

It's getting cool here, I don't have many more new blooms. Plants are getting real raggedy looking. Just hoping for seeds now...Here is a pretty one.

Emma, I bought this off eBay as 'Sugar Plum'....looks like it stated out as one of your plums don't Ya think?

This one is showing up in my Chacha seeds too... I remembered where I got them and I guess she just got seeds mixed up. I like it and tried to keep it tagged but they are really tangled together now!!

Another plummy one in a batch from eBay!!

Another one in the Chacha batch. I like the nice white edge.

Just a grouping of some rambunctious MGs early this am. We're having some wonderfully agreeable weather and they're just goin' for it before the cold sets in!

Here they are again in another spot...very purdy!

Oh my gosh! What a sight to behold this morning when I opened up this thread! Y'all got some beautiful blooms going on!!!

Ronnie - this blue with pattern caught my eye: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4032913 Very nice!

Emma - Love the ROYAL MAJESTY!! What a lovely bloom!!!!

Sandy - Your collection of pretty blooms is quite cheerful! Don't they make your day?? :-)

Here is my favorite MG that I have grown-out so far. This one will always be grown in my garden somewhere just like my Moonflowers. This is another cluster of Yaguruma Blizzard. This is showing all the blooms at the bottom of the vine. The top was covered with even more. This is a single vine in a crowded container with 3 other MGs, too! I had thought that it had stopped blooming near the base of the vine, but low and behold more sprouts off the main trunk and here we go again with tons of flowers! The downside to this vine ..... very little seed production. There are some seed pods on it, but so few considering how many flowers it produces. I might have 6 pods total. It's very stingy with the seed production. Which is too bad, as this one I wish was on the invasive side. I wouldn't care if it took over my entire backyard fence! LOL! But with so few seeds, that is only a pipe dream. :-(

And here's the oddball bloom from the Yaguruma Blizzard. I tagged it, but will be surprised if it produces a seed pod. This vine is the THE MOST PROLIFIC BLOOMER of all that I have grown so far, but the seed pod production is probably the lowest of all my MGs. I am hoping that this vine is just getting it's second wind and will kick in to start producing more pods! We'll see! This is one that should be shared with y'all!!! :-)

BTW - The "White" on these blooms is NOT white, it's pale blue. The plum color is just a tad bit darker too.

Thanks Becky I like that blue one too!!! Hoping for some seeds...

I ♥♥♥ this!!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4033477

Sandy this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4033019 is a real beauty!!!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks, Ronnie! Keep your fingers crossed we get seeds from your Blue MG and my Yaguruma! :-)

And this little vine is just cracking me up! It is teeny! This is one that is unknown. Very small flowers and sparse leaves. The flower is smaller than Joyce Cobb. The blooms have been consistent on it. I hope it produces some seeds! I want to try growing this one out again for grins! It had quite a bit of pollen all over it, so I am assuming the bee made a visit! :-)

And here is what I believe to be Sunrise Serenade. Correct me if I am wrong, please. It has finally started blooming. Very pretty!

Here is photo today of the pink feathered unknown. Is this considered a double or a triple? I need to get a small paint brush to try to pollinate it. No seeds that I see anywhere on the vine. It does have the gender parts as you can see after I moved the petals aside.

Emma, love the Royal Majesty. Great name since it is Royal and Majestic,
a regal beauty.

Nice blooms Syrumani and Chantell.

Ronnie, love all your blooms, the plums are gorgeous.
Your blue pattern bloom comes out of SOI I think. Mine made similiar patterns.

Sandy, beautiful colors

Becky, Yaguruma blizzard is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. A shame it
won't give up much seed. Maybe a little later in the fall.
Pretty feathered.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Thanks Patootie!

Very pretty pink feathered unknown, Becky!

These are the only vines left that are blooming. (Hama Purple vines are still there, but look icky). Here is a bloom from this morning:

This one is more reddish, but still there's the white center:

And, because I couldn't just pick one (or two):

Wow, you all have some great flowers, haven't had a chance to post much, been digging again. It's almost impossible to think that each and every one is sooooo unique, then think that there could be thousands out there being grown, and each one is not the same as the other.

Emma, great stuff there, I like that second one from the top, it almost looks like a larger one of one of the platycodon flowers, what color are the seeds on that one, if you don't mind me asking?

Ronnie, nice wild cards coming up in the Chachas, and the plums are out of this world, I really like the dark purple.

becky, you are getting some nice one's out of the yagurama blizzards.

Syrurami, I know what you mean about them starting to look icky..I got some of those too.

Mesilla Park, NM

Emma, I have to say this about P.Bush... I love it.. next year I'm planting more of this one.. every single flower has been gorgeous. And they look just like the photo too.

A, Pres. Bush is absolutely gorgeous. So special

I can't believe we are on Number 29 on the MG threads.. that's got to be record breaking ..

Here is P. Bush, there were a couple more flowers but didn't get a photo of all... you can see my tags marking them.

The next four flowers are from 4 different plants all from the Blue Asagao seeds MGJapan.. these also produced the willow leaf, so they have the willow leaf gene.
