I have an area in my garden that I put 1/4 minus gravel I hate it and we keep dragging it into the house and on the patio any one have an idea how to keep it down. I have already tried putting concrete mix over it and sprayed with water

bigger rock or else mulch may work.

Did you use a compactor to tamp down the gravel? Or at the very least use one of those handheld tampers that you can get at Home Depot? The big power models do a better job, but the hand tamper will work too if you keep at it. I have that same gravel in my yard too and I love it, the dog and I track a few pieces in the house every so often but it's definitely not a big problem, it's packed down really well (backyard was done by a landscaping company and they had the power compactor, and I did another patio area in the front with the hand tamper). Lots of water also helps, I think really the secret is lots of tamping/compacting and lots of water.

I have a gravel pathway, and I put river rock along the sides of the gravel, works really good, and looks good too.

Here is a pic when I first started the path.

Put flagstones on top? Maybe even put some potting mix around the flagstones and plant stepable ground cover. But maybe that's not the look you're going for.

When we moved into our current home there was a dog run filled with the stuff but they used railroad ties to hold it all in except at the door. It all just rolls right out that door. The river rock in front sort of helps, but there is now a mixed boundary there. My goal is to build a french drain along the side of our yard to help drainage and shovel all that nasty gravel into the trench and be done with it finally.

You could just put landscaping fabric over it and cover with mulch, maybe lined with rock or brick. Frankly, you'd never need to worry about weeds. Here's a pic of one of my paths. Simply has red mulch over landscaping fabric. The bricks are laid directly on the ground, which keeps the mulch in place very well. - Dax
