Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Denton is North of Dallas...

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, can I have the mimosas, please?

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Charlene, My Rose of Sharon are the singles...
I have a few things to add....Ruutel Clematis it is red, Mimosas (3), Orange Jesamine

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Melva, ya gotta see if have anything to trade cuz I like several of your items. Any Clematis is a must.
Thks

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Me too Clematis

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Charlene I thought we were trading? I waant one of your Passiflora Incense..and what Gardenia do you have?

Gainesville, TX

Melva,

My sis has persimmon trees growing wild all over her place. Just let me know, or, you live close enough that you could come pick it out and we would dig it up,

Deb

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Can you just get me one? kind of small..next time it rains (if it ever does)

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Melva, I have rooted cuttings of the old fashioned kind (don't know the scientific name). I have nice large potted ones that are Augusta (I need to check on that to be sure). Which do you prefer?

Yes, I have you down for the incense. But, I want more, more, more LOL. Look harder at my list, there must be something that you want.

I want iris bulbs and clematis.

I have seeds for passiflora maliformis and I just got them planted. They are fresh so hopefully will germinate in 20 days or so.

I have 54 NAKED acres. Of course most of those acres are for DH's cows. I get about 1 1/2 for me.

I love roses I am hunting a tropicanna. It was an award winner in the 60's and was the first rose I ever planted. I'd love to find it again.

The canna lilies on my list are awesome, the foilage is burgandy with little stripes of orange and green. I have lots of them.

I also have some duranta I forgot to put on the list.

I have "green ice" mini rose potted up and blooming. You are such an old hand at this I probably don't have anything that you don't have two of LOL.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, could I have one of your Durantas?
What would you like from my list.
Josephine.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I am not sure of the name of the Gardenia, I would really like the single kind...but the regular will do. I don't care for cannas..some of your things I don't know. You don't have to even trade ....want some Iris and the Clematis? Done...they are yours!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

wrg thread...doh!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, my dad has Tropicanas. He loves them too. We had to hunt everywhere, but we finally found one last year for Father's Day.

I have no idea how to propagate roses, though. Wanna tell me how?

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I will show you, it is easier than telling you.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I would be so greatful for the Tropicanna rose. I have not rooted a single rose although I have tried twice with several cuttings each time. I will take Melva's advice and let her show me how.

I am giddy!! So excited. This is like plant Christmas!! And the best part is I get to play the part of the kid and give gifts that I made (well God made'em, I just propogated them after the fact) and get great gifts that I want!! Yeah!!!

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

are we going to have rose propagation 101 at the plant swap? i want in.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

That sounds like a great idea! I'd love to learn hands on!

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Melva look at my list and see if you want anything. If not I will d-mail you with an offer.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey, a demo would be a great idea. I have tried before and failed miserably.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Frostweed may I get turk's cap from you or indigo spires either one would be great.
I will save you some durantas.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

What have I started! If everyone learns how...nobody, will want to buy my roses!

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

If everyone learns how, nobody will have to buy any roses!

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Tarogers5,
I don't see anything on your list....how bout we trade for potting soil or compost or manure?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey, I'm for that! I love roses and would love to just trade around instead of buying them. They are more meaningful when they come from a friend. Plus, DH won't have to say to stop spending money on plants as much.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Melva I will bring some coir and turface
Can bring rose cuttings. All red unknown though. Belonged to my grandmother.

O.K. Charlene 2 Turk's cap for you.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

TARogers.....I would love a couple of the first rose you have pictured. My mom and I both love fragrant roses and I have been looking for a good deep red one for a while now.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Blue eyes have you covered

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks!

Gainesville, TX

Melva,

I may need to come see you before the roundup so you can show me how to do rose cuttings. I had a couple of people interested in two roses that I have but if I could do cuttings then there would be more for everybody.

Debbie

Gainesville, TX

Im so lucky....I live close to Melva....nah nah (hee hee)

Deb

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Okay! When do you want to come?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

anybody want crossvine?

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I'll take some, if you don't already have me down, I think I said something earlier but don't remember. If you have enough I'd love two, I am hoping to get it started on my back fence, it definitely needs a good cover.

:) Kim
