PURPLE-FLAKED SHIBORI HIGE

The white 'stuff' on the leaves is from spraying for those monster little black worms that love MGs.

Emma, I didn't plant any tie-dye seeds, and there weren't any Pink Candy or whatever it is in my stock of seeds either. Many of my seeds were ones you sent me. Would love to know what this is. All I know is that it's a nil.

Your JAMIE LYNN HIGE is gorgeous!

Well, I found one earlier growing in the same vicinity as this one, could be Pink Candy.

Rev, the 1st pic looks like Candy Pink, don't know about the 2nd pic. It
could also be Candy Pink.

Emma, gorgeous blooms. Love the Jamie Lynn Hige. Wedding Bells is
such a stand out color.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Jackie and Judith re the Jamie Lynn Hige. . .
It really is awesome.

Judith, oh my, we may need Ron to the Rescue here.
I looked at all of the seeds that I sent to you and WILL GUESS yours is a 'stray' seed.
Nothing I sent comes even close to this. Keep an eye on these blooms, and post more photos when you can. I've never grown Pink Candy, so that is out.

Interesting. . .

Emma, love ♥ this one!!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4008630

Emma - ALL of your Higes are fabulous!!! Every single one of them! I also like your Blue Silk. I just planted a BS seed today. I am starting a new grow-out of 17 MGs that are different cultivars than the vines that are growing and blooming currrently.

This one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4007867 is the very first bloom on the vine. It was packaged as Gray Fog. I wonder if it is a sport of GF? The interesting thing is how small the bloom is. Similar in size to a Joyce Cobb bloom. Perhaps being the first bloom it is smaller and future blooms will be larger? I will certainly be watching to see what the new blooms look like.

Judith - The name Pink Candy sure describes your yummy blooms! Are both blooms from the same vine?

Not sure, Becky. All I can say is that they grew in the same square foot. LOL My vines are pretty tangled.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Becky and Ronnie . . .

Becky . . .
This will be great if all of these blooms are the same
Wow
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4007867

It is very possible that this could be a sport of Gray Fog, however, Gray Fog does not have Varigeted Leaves and I can't tell if the VL are this vine or not?

I knew you would ask that Emma .... so..... I took a photo of one of the leaves. Here ya go! The leaf in the middle of the photo is what the leaves on this mystery vine look like. (It is NOT variegated.) My grow-outs are all planted near each other so you often see leaves of other cultivars in all my photos. So ..... could it possibly be a sport of Gray Fog?

Hear are a few for me from the past few days. We had a cool down for a bit but an end of the summer warm up gave me quite a few nice blooms!!

Oh, my Ronnie . . . gotta love this one! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010099

Ronnie - What is this one????
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010135

It looks similar to the one I am trying to ID in another thread! Are the blooms large and the leaves variegated? And does it have blue in the blooms early in the morning?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Nichole, I hope I get a few more and some seeds before frost, I really like it to and want grow that one out!!

Becky I bought this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010135 as Raiko. The blooms are large and the leaves are variegated but has always showed solid purple for me so far.

What is this one?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010139

I have seen a similar from Joseph, and I've even gotten something very similar from some of my many sports.
I like it!

We shall see, Emma! :-)

Ronnie - All of yours are stunning! You got a nice collection of some real beauties! Keep em coming!!!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Emma!! This one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010139 came from one Karen blue sent that I think originally came from you..I had 3 different types from that one. I like this one the best. Tagged it as blue frost. Hopefully I will get a seed or 2!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Becky, a warm up this week should get me a few more blooms!! I HATE to see it end!!

Emma, this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010107 seems to be showing me a few of the same colors. I am keeping that one marked. It was one single vine so it was an easy one!!

Emma I am jumping up and down squealing at the pics of Jamie Lynn Hige! Stunning! Great work crossing genes!

No wonder I recognized this bloom
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4010139

When I come across my photos, I'll send them to you to compare.

If you get enough of these seeds to share, I would LOVE to grow this one next year.
So nice

So Unusual

I stand corrected on Candy Pink. I compared Rev's pic to the one
in Plants of Distinction catalog. I thought they looked very similiar
but now I see there are differences. Guess I need new glasses. lol

Jackie.

Beautiful blooms Ronnie.
